1st April 2024 – Orientation Program

On April 1, 2024, QCS orchestrated an Orientation Event entitled "Positive Parenting," meticulously curated to disseminate the invaluable wisdom concerning modern-day parenting methodologies and fostering a symbiotic rapport between parents and the institution to catalyse the comprehensive growth of the child.

The proceedings commenced with the ceremonial illumination of the sacred lamp, graced by esteemed figures including Chief Guest Dr. Roma Kumar, Honourable Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva, and H.O.S Ms. Sandhya Kumaria, alongside a mesmerizing kathak performance invoking the blessings of Maa Saraswati.

In her welcoming address, the Head of the School underscored the significance of collaborative endeavours in shaping the future citizens of the world, setting a tone of unity and purpose. Honourable Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva elucidated the The eminent Chief Guest, Dr. Roma Kumar, an erudite Clinical Psychologist, engaged the audience in an enthralling and interactive discourse centred on the tenets of Positive Parenting. Dr. Kumar delineated nuanced strategies for fostering a nurturing environment characterized by love and care, essential for laying the groundwork for a prosperous future. She underscored the pivotal role parents play in moulding their offspring, particularly during the formative years of growth.

Overarching vision and ethos that underpin QCS's philosophy, emphasizing its mission to foster an environment of curiosity, knowledge, and growth.

A pivotal juncture of the event unfolded with the unveiling of the inaugural newsletter, the QCS Chronicles, emblematic of a milestone in fostering communication and community engagement. This endeavour underscores the school's ardent commitment to heralding achievements and fortifying bonds within the QCS fraternity.

Subsequently, the session shed light on the academic programs, approaches, methodologies, integrated pedagogical learning and diverse school systems operative within QCS through an elucidative PowerPoint Presentation The presentation reached its culmination with a magnificent demonstration of the integration of STEAM into the curriculum, emphasizing the paramount importance of integrated learning within the academic framework of QCS.

The Orientation Program served as a fulcrum to inspire, inform, and engage stakeholders, setting the tone for a fruitful academic year ahead. The event proved to be an enriching experience, equipping parents with invaluable insights into the school's facilities, policies, and resources. Attendees departed the venue feeling empowered and well-prepared for the forthcoming academic endeavours.

15th March 2024 – Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony-2023-24

"Today, we close one chapter and embark on the next, with hearts full of memories and minds ready to conquer the new avenues."

The Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony at Queens Carmel School organized on 15th March 2024 marked a momentous occasion, celebrating the accomplishments and growth of our young learners. Held with great enthusiasm and pride, the ceremony symbolized new beginnings and stepping stone to new success.

The ceremony commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and enthralling ‘Ganesh Vandana’ demonstrated by the students. The little Queens rendered riveting ‘Thank You’ song showcasing their love and gratitude for their mentors. The event featured delightful performances by the kindergarten students, including presentations, dances, and recitations.

Students were recognized and rewarded for their outstanding achievements in all domains of learning. Each award served as a testament to the hard work and dedication exhibited by our kindergarten students and their teachers throughout the academic year.

A poignant moment of the ceremony was the presentation of graduation certificates to each kindergarten graduate. With pride and joy, students walked across the stage cladded in their graduation gowns and caps to receive their certificates, symbolizing their successful completion of kindergarten and readiness for the next phase of their education.

The Head of school Ms. Sandhya Kumaria congratulated the students with her words of encouragement, wisdom, and advice. The unwavering support and dedication of teachers and parents was acknowledged and appreciated. She emphasized the importance of the home school partnership in nurturing the holistic development of students.

24th February 2024 – Annual Felicitation Ceremony – 2023-24

The condominiums of the Queen’s Carmel School echoed with the applauds and cheers of ecstasy on Friday, 23rd February 2024, the day of Annual felicitation ceremony for the academic session 2022-23. The celebration was a poignant reminder of our collective allegiance to nurture the holistic development of our students. It celebrated the myriad talents, achievements, and aspirations in vivid domains that define the essence of our school community. The event recognized and appreciated outstanding accomplishments in scholastic, co-scholastic domains, Interschool /Intra-school competitions, thereby affirming the diverse talents and capabilities of our students and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity.

The lighting of ceremonial lamps and the calling forth of divine blessings marked the commencement of the ceremony. The school acknowledged the academic brilliance of students for their outstanding performance in the scholastic domain assessed and evaluated throughout the year. The ceremony honored top achievers of all grades for the academic session 2022-23.

Our students have consistently made us proud by clinching victories in interschool competitions across a spectrum of disciplines. They have showcased their talents, epitomizing the spirit of sportsmanship, academic quizzes to cultural extravaganzas. 14th February 2024 – Vasant Panchami celebration

"Graceful as the river's flow, Maa Saraswati's wisdom bestows, where knowledge and artistry grows."

The premises of Queen’s Carmel school witnessed a fervent celebration of Vasant Panchami, a festival that heralds the arrival of spring and celebrates the worship of Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom. The school facilities were adorned with vibrant hues of yellow of Marigold flowers embodying the spirit of unity, culture, and learning. The event provided an opportunity for the school community to come together, celebrate traditions, and embrace the values of knowledge, creativity, and enlightenment concretized by Goddess Saraswati.

The day commenced by offering gratitude and invoking the blessings of Maa Saraswati to grace all with wisdom, knowledge, and creativity. Students and teachers participated in the prayer ceremony with reverence and devotion, seeking inspiration and guidance in their academic pursuits. Little Queens of Kindergarten and faculty members were dressed in traditional attire, predominantly in shades of yellow, reflecting the essence of Vasant Panchami. The sight of everyone in bright colors infused the surroundings with energy and cheerfulness. Senior Queens were apprised about the relevance and cultural significance of the day.

The occasion brought together students, teachers, and staff members to commemorate the cultural richness and traditional values.

12th February 2024 – Adventure Camp: Trailblazer

"Escape the Ordinary, Embrace the Extraordinary!"

On Saturday, 12 February 2024 the condominium of QCS was echoing with the rallying cheers of ecstatic students for the adventure camp held on the school grounds. It was coordinated as an annual event, that promised to be an unforgettable experience for all participants. As we embark on this exhilarating journey, it's imperative to recognize the profound benefits of breaking free from the routine and immersing ourselves in the boundless wonders of the great outdoors.

The day long camp proved to be an invigorating experience for all participants, offering a unique blend of learning, exploration, and camaraderie. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the school, the camp provided students with an opportunity to step out of their normal routine and immerse themselves in a plethora of adventurous activities. The day started with a series of interactive team-building exercises, where students learned the importance of communication, collaboration, and trust. The camp offered a plethora of adrenaline-pumping activities for students to enjoy. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, they learned tent pitching, tunnel crawl, rock climbing. They challenged their limits by sweeping through the zip line, trailing the Burma bridge, shooting, roller coaster, trampoline joy ride, hurdle trench and many more all in a safe and controlled environment. These enthralling experiences not only fostered courage and resilience but also instilled a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence among the participants.

The adventure camp proved to be a transformative experience for all participants. By challenging themselves, working together, and embracing new experiences, students emerged from the camp with a renewed sense of purpose and a wealth of memories to cherish.

3rd February 2024 – Life Skill Development Program (LSDP)

The Life Skill Development Program conducted on the first Saturday of every month is a dedicated platform designed to impart essential life skills beyond the traditional academic curriculum. It aims to equip students with the practical knowledge, competencies, and values necessary to navigate the complexities of modern life successfully.

The Life Skill Development Program of February month was an enriching experience for students that was a blend of project-based learning, storytelling, and an innovative inter-house competition named "Maths Wizard" a seamlessly integrated sports with mathematics.

Project-based learning session for the students of Grade IV- VII was an intriguing experience, where they applied theoretical knowledge and honed critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills. They investigated, debated, comprehended, and worked together on infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable Industrialization project. The objective was to raise students' awareness for encouraging resource efficiency and creating societies that are robust to global issues like urbanization and climate change.

The students of Grade I- III participated in a captivating storytelling session. The session nurtured their imagination and instilled important life lessons that fostered a sense of empathy and understanding.

The highlight of the event was the "Maths Wizard" an inter-house competition. The students showcased their mathematical aptitude, problem solving skills, and sportsmanship spirit through a series of mathematically themed sports challenges.

The event culminated with a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie among students, who emerged not only as winners but also as learners enriched with valuable life skills and experiences.

24th January 2024 – REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

The 75th Republic Day celebration at QCS was a momentous occasion, marked by a fervent display of patriotism and a deep understanding of the significance of this historic day. The event commenced with a soulful prayer, setting a reflective tone for the proceedings.

A warm welcome speech paved the way for the solemn flag hoisting ceremony, where the tricolour soared high, symbolizing the spirit of unity in diversity. The National Anthem resonated across the school premises, evoking a sense of pride and belonging among the attendees. Grade III prodigies eloquently recited the Preamble, showcasing their awareness of the fundamental principles that form the backbone of our democratic nation. Student Council Luminaries delivered poignant speeches, enlightening the audience about the historical importance and values associated with Republic Day.

A symphony of patriotism echoed through the campus as students harmoniously rendered "Keep the Fire of Freedom," a poignant anthem. The Head of School addressed the gathering, emphasizing the responsibility that comes with the privilege of living in a democratic nation.

The event concluded with the Head Girl delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the freedom we cherish and encouraging everyone to uphold the democratic ideals that define our great nation. The 75th Republic Day celebration left an indelible mark, fostering a deep sense of patriotism and civic responsibility among the school community.

22nd December 2023 – Joy of Giving- Donation

In an exemplary demonstration of altruism, students of QCS recently organized a donation drive as part of the 'Joy of Giving' initiative. The campaign aimed to foster a spirit of generosity, instill a sense of social responsibility and community service among the student body while making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Collection of the donation drive included packed ration, woolen clothing, books and stationery. The response from the school community was overwhelming as students contributed generously displaying the value of empathy and sharing.

The school collaborated with the Vishwa Nirmala Prem Ashram, Non-profit organization in Greater Noida and handed over the donated items to them. The organization is working for the orphaned and destitute children especially girls.

The success of the donation drive not only showcased the student’s dedication to philanthropy but also highlighted the school's commitment to holistic education. The 'Joy of Giving' initiative aimed to serve as a powerful reminder of the positive change that can be achieved through collective effort and compassion. It also renders as an instrument for practically imply the vales taught inside the classrooms.

22nd December 2023 – Christmas Fest

The festive ambiance of Yuletide joy permeated the corridors of our esteemed institution, where a magnificent Christmas Carnival unfolded amidst the enchanting setting of the school quadrangle on the 22nd of December. Santa Claus, the benevolent bearer of delight, graced the Queens with his presence, bestowing cheerful smiles and sweet treats. Melodious Christmas carols echoed through the air, elevating the festive spirit to unprecedented heights.

The day unfolded with a diverse array of engaging activities, including Racing, Hopscotch, Hit the Joker, and a Selfie point capturing timeless moments. A Tattoo booth and Blindfold Santa-making added an extra layer of creativity to the festivities. The delightful scents of Popcorn and Candy floss wafted through the air, enhancing the sensory experience for the jubilant students.

In a commendable act of altruism, QCS orchestrated a donation drive, embodying the principles of compassion and generosity. Rations, clothing, stationery, toys, and more poured in as the Queens selflessly extended their hands to the less privileged, creating ripples of goodwill in the community. The senior Queens showcased their artistic prowess by adorning their classrooms in festive splendours, encapsulating the joyful spirit of Christmas. Tiny Tots from distinguished establishments, namely Ojasva Playschool and Curious Mind Playschool, joined the festivity as guests, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared jubilation.

The festive extravaganza served as an embodiment of mirth and revelry, transcending the ordinary and encapsulating the true essence of Christmas.

19th December 2023 – Educational Trip to Nehru Planetarium

"Exploration knows no bounds, and the universe is full of wonders waiting to be discovered." - Edwin Hubble"

Every excursion, and field trip contributes to experiential learning. Students use their personal experiences to learn and gather information. As a part of our ongoing endeavor to inspire students with practical training and enhance their education beyond the classroom, QCS organized an educational trip to Nehru Planetarium, Delhi, on Tuesday, December 19, for Grade IV to VII.

Situated in the environs of Teen Murti House and dedicated to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Honorable first Prime Minister of India, was setup to promote and inculcate the scientific instincts amongst the students. The key draw of the Nehru Planetarium is the astronomical show. The Sky Theatre at the Nehru Planetarium is a dome shaped configuration where students spectated the morning show 'The Ultimate Universe'. It was a highly instructive and engaging show in which they learned many astounding things about the Galaxies in the Universe as well as all of the planets in the Solar System. They also learned about stars and various constellations.

A true education is a harmonious blend of joy, camaraderie, and knowledge. The Planetarium galleries became a treasure trove of information for the students, offering an exhilarating experience as space, an inherently captivating topic, unfolded before their eyes. This day-long excursion not only provided a splendid opportunity for children to engage, discover, and enrich themselves but also painted a vivid picture of genuine education infused with delight and friendship

12th December 2023 – Health Assessments Camp at QCS

Health assessments play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities by proactively addressing health issues, offering preventive care, and cultivating a culture of health consciousness.

QCS recently hosted a health checkup camp for all students in partnership with our health service provider, HEALTH SET GO, encompassing dental checkup, eyesight testing, and physical and emotional assessment. Qualified team of doctors performed comprehensive assessment of major physical health parameters to ensure real-time monitoring, evaluation, and improvement. Measurements of height, weight, and basic fitness were also included in physical health evaluations. Health report was shared with the parents while maintaining the privacy and confidentially of the health information.

3rd December 2023 – Skating Competition Winners

Queen’s Carmel School invigorates the integrated multifaceted development of a child through sports, performing art and literary pursuits. Participation in intra-school and interschool tournaments is encouraged among the students to foster team spirit, leadership skills and competitive ethos.

In pursuit of the same Tanishka Tanwar of Grade V won gold medal and Alishba Zeeshan of Grade VII won silver medal in 1st Motivational Speed Skating Championship held on 3rd December 2023 at Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex Greater Noida in (inline) under 14 categories. The School is ecstatic as their victory is announced. The trumpet their victory was celebrated and Head of School congratulated both the sports prodigies for their exemplary performance.

2nd December 2023 – INTERHOUSE MUSIC AND DANCE COMPETITION

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, as a part of our LSDP (Life Skill Development Program), QCS witnessed an electrifying Interhouse Music and Dance Competition that showcased the immense talent and creativity of our queens. The event, organized with meticulous planning, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who demonstrated their artistic excellence, leaving an indelible mark on the school's cultural landscape.

The competition, held in three categories, brought together queens from different grades, each category offering a platform for unique age groups. Category 1 featured Grade I & II queens, Category 2 included Grade III-IV, and Category 3 comprised Grade V-VII participants. The queens of each house, meticulously selected through a stringent screening process, represented their houses with grace and confidence.

The performances were nothing short of spectacular, with each house showcasing its distinctive flair and spirit. The vibrant tapestry of talent on display demonstrated that QCS is indeed a hub of extraordinary capabilities. From soulful melodies to energetic dance routines, the stage was lit with the passion and dedication of our young performers.

The queens, representing their respective houses, captivated the audience and judges with mesmerizing and exceptional performances, making the judging process a challenging task. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the participants poured their hearts and souls into their acts. The competition culminated in the eagerly awaited results announcement. The Honourable Head of School, in a grand gesture, felicitated the winners, acknowledging their outstanding performances. Importantly, the Head of School also took a moment to commend and applaud all participants for their tremendous efforts and talent, reinforcing the school's commitment to nurturing and celebrating the diverse skills of its students. In conclusion, the Interhouse Music and Dance Competition not only provided a platform for our students to showcase their talents but also highlighted the rich cultural diversity and artistic brilliance that defines our school community. This event will undoubtedly be remembered as a testament to the vibrant and dynamic spirit of our student body.

29th November 2023 – Enchanting Extravaganza: A Magical Experience for Students

Students were enthralled with the recently held magic presentation at QCS, which transported them into a realm of wonder and amazement. The event aimed to provide a unique and entertaining experience, fostering a sense of joy and excitement among the student body. The magic show featured a diverse array of acts, ranging from classic card tricks to mind-boggling illusions. The magician engaged the audience with interactive elements, creating an immersive experience that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Beyond the entertainment, the magic show also had educational benefits. Students were exposed to the art of illusion, sparking curiosity about the principles of magic and the psychology behind these captivating performances.

It served as a unique form of experiential learning, by fusing amusement with mental stimulation. Such events spark creativity and foster a supportive school environment.

4th November 2023 – SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

As an environmental initiative, the educational session on SDG Goal 12: Responsible Production and Consumption was arranged for the students with an aim to enlighten them about the wise use of resources, reducing waste, caring for the environment and protecting the planet.

The value of sustainable activities was elucidated, and waste minimization was emphasized. Endorsement of environment friendly goods, ethical consumer behavior was encouraged during the session. Students learned useful strategies for accomplishing this objective in their day-to-day activities. The session was thought-provoking that promoted awareness of sustainable living. The session concluded with a brainstorming quiz that accurately demonstrated the student’s understanding and topic sensitization.

Students pledged to Reduce food loss and waste - saves money and resources.

20th October 2023 – Dussehra Celebrations

Let's embrace the spirit of Dussehra and strive to eliminate the negativity from our lives.

The Dussehra celebration at QCS was a vibrant and inspiring event. The program began with the lighting of the diya by the honorable Head of School, signifying the triumph of good over evil. The Nursery Queens dressed as characters from the Ramayana, showcased the importance of each role in the epic. Poems and dances by the Jasmine Queens and Grade Snowwhite students beautifully portrayed the story of Lord Ram and his victory over the invincible Ravana.

The celebration continued with a lively Dandiya dance, showcasing the diversity of India's celebrations and a mesmerizing Light and Shadow performance on Ramayana. The Queens of Grade V, VI, and VII then left a powerful impression on the audience with an impactful dance performance portraying Navdurga- the nine manifestations of goddess Durga. The event concluded with words of wisdom from the Head of School, making it a memorable celebration of this auspicious festival.

6th October 2023 – QCS Sports Prodigies-Bringing Laurels

Each day at QCS is marked by the of Queens in the diverse arenas. The school proudly celebrated the accomplishments of our students who excelled in sports, specifically in Skating, Taekwondo, and Tennis. The event was a testament to their dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship.

Ms. Tanishka Tanwar of Grade V won the Gold medal in the Under 11 inline category All India Open Roller Skating Championship, held at DDA sports complex Delhi, where more than 200 schools participated.

Ms. Ashwina Rawal of Grade VI, demonstrated outstanding skills in taekwondo, earning Gold Medal in the National Urban Games in Karate. Her discipline, focus, and dedication to this martial art were truly commendable.

Ms. Divyanshi Satahavalli the little tennis prodigy won silver medal in the Junior Lawn Tennis Championship. Their relentless training and passion for the sport culminated in impressive victories. During the ceremony, the school honored their achievements and felicitated all the winners. Head of the School, highlighted the importance of sports in shaping well-rounded individuals. It was a moment of pride and motivation for all present, as it emphasized the importance of dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship in achieving success.

Honoring and facilitating the achievers not only recognized their hard work and dedication but also inspired other students to pursue their passions in the world of sports. We are immensely proud of our athletes and look forward to their continued success in the future.

26th to 30th September 2023 – Let us nurture nature to secure a nurturing future.

World Environment Health Day falls on October 26th every year. QCS didn't limit its focus to just one day; instead, it embraced the importance of the environment, its health, and its impact by conducting various activities throughout the week. The pre-primary wing celebrated this day with a cleanliness drive and learned about the use of green and blue bins. The Little Queens were taught about the concept of the environment's health through rhymes and slogans. The germination of seeds was part of an experiential learning experience that encouraged people to preserve and grow more trees. It was an enriching experience as each queen nurtured a plant. Creating the best from waste materials by making cloth bags, crafting creative art pieces from newspapers, and planting medicinal plants contributed to a series of efforts aimed at raising awareness for a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.

19th September 2023 - Educational Trip to Biscuit Factory

Field trips are predominantly important for students as they enable learners to widen their experience of learning, enhance expanding their horizons through observation, and help them become more receptive and compassionate. Learning outside the confines of classroom has its own charm. On 19th September 2023 students of Queen’s Carmel School, from classes I, II, and III embarked on an exciting educational trip to the Priyagold Biscuit factory, where they got a chance to witness the production journey of their favorite snack.

The students were warmly welcomed by the factory staff and ensured safety protocols were followed throughout the visit.

The highlight of the trip was the guided factory tour, where the students had the opportunity to observe the biscuit-making process. The tour covered several key aspects.

The factory staff explained the various ingredients used in biscuit production, emphasizing the importance of quality and hygiene. Students witnessed the mixing of ingredients and the baking process. They were fascinated by the massive ovens and the transformation of dough into biscuits. The students also learned about the packaging process, where biscuits were carefully sorted, packed, and prepared for distribution. The factory staff conducted interactive sessions with the students, allowing them to ask questions. This provided an opportunity for the students to gain deeper insights into the biscuit-making industry. Following the tour, the students were treated to a tasting session where they could sample different types of biscuits produced by the factory. This was a delightful experience for the young learners.

Overall the trip was a resounding success. The students had a wonderful and educational experience that broadened their understanding and gave them real life experiential learning.

15th September 2023- National Engineer’s Day

National Engineers' Day is observed annually on 15th September to honour the birth anniversary of the visionary engineer, Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose contributions laid the foundation for our nation's development. He was not only an exceptional engineer but also a statesman and the recipient of the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.

Engineers are the architects of progress, turning dreams into reality and bridging the gap between imagination and achievement. Through science and technology, they build a brighter, sustainable future for all.

To honour the contributions of engineers in shaping our modern world and inspire the students to channel their imagination towards innovation, Queen’s Carmel School celebrated Engineers' Day with great enthusiasm through a wide range of activities.

The students were enlightened about the significance of the day through a presentation that covered themes like aerospace engineering and sustainable energy sources. A workshop aimed at introducing students to the principles of robotics and engineering design was organized for students, where they had the opportunity to build a robotic hand. Under the guidance of our skilled teachers, students assembled robotic hands using simple materials. It was an engaging, hands-on experience that sparked creativity and problem-solving skills.

The Little Queens of Grades I & II had a handson experience creating designs with clay and paper cups. The Design Challenge was a fun and educational activity that allowed students to unleash their creativity. They worked in teams that fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and hands-on building skills. The day was avidly celebrated and served as a reminder of the vital role that engineers play in shaping the future and solving the world's challenges. We look forward to continuing to inspire and educate our students in the field of engineering in the years to come.

5th September 2023 – Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami is one of the most soughtafter festivals of Hindus that is celebrated with vehemence and fervour nationwide on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna. The Janmashtami celebration at Queen’s Carmel School was a vibrant and culturally enriching event that brought the spirit of Krishna's birth to life. The students from various grades participated wholeheartedly, showcasing their talents and devotion to Lord Krishna. The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction speech, setting the tone for the festivities.

The KG Queens rendered enchanting Guru Vandna that captured the essence of Krishna's teachings. Nursery Queens intrigued the audience with their adorable showcasing their enthusiasm and love for the divine child Krishna.

The KG Queens further captivated the audience with their graceful dance performance depicting the eternal love between Radha and Krishna.

The Nursery Queens added a musical touch to the celebration by presenting a melodious song dedicated to Lord Krishna. The event concluded with another mesmerizing dance performance by the KG students, demonstrating their dedication to celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. The Head of the school, Ms. Sandhya Kumaria blessed all the Queens on this auspicious day and gave them the message of the efficacy of this religious celebration.

29 August 2023 - Rakshabandhan Celebrations

The Rakshabandhan, a revered Indian festival that represents the bond of affection and security between siblings, was marked with tremendous fervor and respect at Queen’s Carmel School. A number of events were organized as part of the celebration with the objective to teach students about the cultural significance of the festival and to encourage an attitude of gratitude and love.

Celebrations not only educated students about the importance of the festival but also fostered a sense of unity and appreciation within the school community To kick start the celebrations, students transformed their imagination into creativity through Rakhi making activity. This activity allowed them to express their creativity while crafting beautiful Rakhis. An essential part of the celebration was to understand the profundity of Rakhi. The history, mythology, and cultural significance of Rakhi were elucidated. This provided a deeper understanding of the festival and its role in strengthening the bonds of love and protection.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the celebration was when students had the opportunity to tie hand-made Rakhis by little Queens of Nursery & KG to the school's support staff members. This action served as a poignant reminder of the love and respect that we have for those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support our educational journey.

Throughout the day, the school was filled with a sense of joy and camaraderie. Students wore traditional attire, and the classrooms were adorned with colorful decorations to enhance the festive atmosphere.

21 August 2023 - Inter-Class Activity – Our Community Helpers

Community helpers play a crucial role in society by providing essential services that keep our communities safe, healthy, and functional. They ensure the social system runs smoothly. Teaching children about community helpers aids them understand the interdependence of society and fosters respect for the various roles people play in making their world a better place.

Kindergarten students of QCS rendered gratitude to the community helpers by dressing up as various helpers like doctors, firefighters, police officers etc. They talk about what each volunteer does to maintain the neighbourhood safe and well-run. The little Queens' superb enunciation and use of props, made the presentation intriguing and enthralling.

14th August 2023 - 76th Independence Day - “Nation First, Always First”

Independence Day is celebrated as a day to celebrate the arduous freedom that a country has attained. It serves as a reminder of the nation's history, fostering a sense of unity, identity, and pride among its citizens. It's a time for reflection, remembrance, and renewed commitment to protecting the hardwon freedom.

On 14th August 2023, Queen’s Carmel School organized a series of remarkable events to commemorate the 77th Independence Day,. The day commenced with a spirited March Past, symbolizing unity and pride. A heartfelt rendition of a patriotic song filled the air with fervor, instilling a sense of national pride among the attendees.

The young students from KG to IV paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi through an engaging role play, portraying his 11 vows. This portrayal not only educated but also inspired the talent through a captivating dance mashup, while Grades IV and V moved the audience with their enchanting dance performance of "Vande Mataram."

Highlighting historical significance, students from Grades V to VII presented a gripping role-play depicting the Quit India Movement. The audience was further entertained and amazed by a dazzling skating performance put on by students from Grades IV to VII. The celebration reached its crescendo with a mesmerizing dance performance by Grade VI and VII students.

The Head of School delivered an address, reflecting on the significance of the day and inspiring the students to uphold the values of freedom and unity. The day culminated with the uplifting moment of the flag hoisting, accompanied by the resonant strains of the National Anthem, evoking a deep sense of patriotism and national pride.

27th July 2023 - Commemorating Kargil Vijay Diwas: A Day of Patriotism and Tribute

QCS celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 27th July 2023 with an afternoon ceremony to honour the valor, bravery, and sacrifice of our soldiers during the Kargil War. The event began with a poignant speech, emphasizing the heroic and inspirational nature of our soldiers, highlighting their dedication to protect and serve, facing adversity with courage, and safeguarding cherished values for future generations. The soldiers' resilience and determination, leaving behind comfort and family to defend the nation, were praised, emphasizing their unbreakable and invincible spirit.

The significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas was explained, marking the successful culmination of the Kargil conflict on 26th July 1999. The brave soldiers fought intruders attempting to seize our land and infiltrate our borders under treacherous conditions, displaying unwavering determination to defend our motherland. The ceremony was made vibrant with performances by students. The young talents of Grade 1 sang "Desh humara Hindustan," evoking patriotism among the audience. Grade 2's Nanha munha rahies showcased their enthusiasm in a delightful performance. Grade 3 captured hearts with "Aao baachon tumhe dikhayen," while Grade 4 showcased unity through "Hum rahi hain hum Saathi hain." The queens of Grade 5 delivered a spirited performance of "Aao banaye milkar apna."

Queen Anushka of Grade 6 sang the iconic verses of "Vande Mataram", inspiring pride and nationalism.

The inspirational song "Ekla Cholo Re" was performed by Grade 6, encouraging everyone to move forward fearlessly. Finally, Grade 7 delivered a stirring performance of "Saare jahan se accha," instilling a sense of unity and pride. Our esteemed HOS ma'am shared words of wisdom, appreciating the students' dedication and acknowledging the bravery of our soldiers. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem, a powerful moment that united everyone in a deep sense of patriotism.

13th July 2023 - A Visit to the Post Office: Unveiling the World of Mail Services

To broaden primary students' understanding of important community services, the school organized a field trip to the local post office, intending to highlight the various components of the post office and its role in facilitating mail delivery. The trip aimed to provide practical insights into the operations and services offered by this vital institution. Before the visit, the class in charge apprised students of basic information via a class presentation and PPT. Students wrote letters to their loved ones and understood the prelim process of putting them in an envelope, stamping them, and writing valid addresses on them before mailing them. They understood the process as well as the fact that the post office functions as a key center for sending, receiving, and delivering mail. Upon arrival, students got an opportunity to explore various service counters, such as the accounts department, delivery branch, and sorting branch. They learned about the advanced technology employed to streamline the sorting process, including barcode scanning and automated sorting machines. The post office offers a wide range of services catering to diverse needs. They learned about the different types of postage stamps available and how to choose the appropriate one for different mail categories.

Interacting with postal workers allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities. A Q&A session was held where they had the opportunity to ask questions about various aspects of the post office and its operations. The postal staff patiently answered our queries, providing valuable insights and piqued their interest. The kids placed the letters they had written in the post box. They were ecstatic to send the letters they had written to their loved ones.

The visit was a valuable educational experience. The journey not only broadened their understanding of the mail system but also of its importance in their daily lives.

13th July 2023 - Splash Pool Activity- Beat The Heat

Queen's Carmel School organized an exciting pool party for the Kindergarten department on July 13, 2023, to deliver a fun-filled experience to the enthusiastic kindergarteners. Under the cautious eyes of their teachers, the little Queens robed in colorful swim outfits enjoyed the refreshing water and indulged in various water games. The pool was outfitted with bright floats and water toys, which further stimulated the atmosphere. The children splashed, played, and danced to the fascinating music, enjoying exhilarating moments in the refreshing water.

The Kindergartener Pool Party was a resounding success, full of laughter, joy, and memorable moments. The children had a great time participating in the numerous water-based activities, which helped them bond with their peers and teachers. The event allowed the youngsters to gain confidence in the water, socialize, and make lifelong memories

12th July 2023 - Investiture Ceremony Report

A school investiture ceremony is a memorable occasion that highlights student leaders' leadership potential while also instilling a feeling of duty and pride in the school community. On July 7, 2023, a momentous investiture ceremony was held at our esteemed school to felicitate and celebrate the newly elected student leaders. The event began with the lamp lighting ceremony, invoking the auspiciousness of the occasion followed by the rendition of Saraswati Vandana.

The newly elected Student Council made a grand entry with a Leader’s March followed by the pinning of badges by H.O.S. Ma’am and an oath-taking ceremony. The ambience was reverberating with enthusiasm and elected council members were beaming with a sense of duty and pride. The Head Girl, Alishba Zeeshan, delivered an inspiring speech on behalf of the Student Council, expressing gratitude for the trust placed in them and sharing their vision for the future of the school. The event further unfolded with the presentation of The house trophy for the session 2022-23, which was conferred to the Truth House, and the winners were applauded and recognized for their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

The event culminated with the presentation of the prestigious Teacher's Appreciation Reward to the nominated teachers in recognition of their essential contributions to molding the lives of the children.

The Head of the school Ms. Sandhya Kumaria congratulated the council for remaining committed and working diligently to create a nurturing and inclusive environment and bring about positive change through their actions.

3rd July 2023 - Welcoming Students Back: A Special Assembly

Queen’s Carmel School has reopened following a pleasant and rejuvenating summer break with a sunny disposition. The kids entered the campus with happy grins as they began their path towards joyful learning. Meeting their pals and engaging in stimulating conversations gave them more energy for a rousing start.

The teachers held a special assembly to officially welcome everyone. The assembly commenced with prayers, invoking blessings for a successful academic year ahead. The serene atmosphere filled with positivity set the tone for the event. Following the prayers, an exciting quiz was conducted to test the students' knowledge and engage them in an interactive session. After the quiz, the Physical Training (PT) session commenced, emphasizing the significance of maintaining physical fitness for a productive academic journey. Students participated enthusiastically in various exercises, showcasing their energy and eagerness to start the new term on a positive note.

The assembly continued with the muchanticipated announcement of the results for the inter-house competitions held during in April. Students eagerly awaited the outcome, and the winners were applauded for their hard work and dedication.

The highlight of the assembly was the announcement of the school's student council. The names of the elected student representatives were announced, who would play a vital role in fostering a vibrant student community and working closely with the school administration to address student concerns and organize various events throughout the year. To conclude the assembly, the Principal extended a warm welcome to all the students through a captivating poem recitation. The heartfelt words in the poem encouraged students to make the most of their time at school, to learn, grow, and forge lasting friendships. The special assembly successfully set a positive and motivating atmosphere for the new academic year. It instilled a sense of enthusiasm, camaraderie, and aspiration among the students, ensuring a promising start to their educational journey.

21st June 2023 - International Yoga Day

World Yoga Day is celebrated annually on 21st June intending to raise awareness about the benefits of practicing yoga and to promulgate its holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being by combining physical postures (Asana), breathing exercises (Pranayama), and meditation techniques. The 2023 theme emphasizes the role of yoga in promoting sustainable living and environmental consciousness.

Queen's Carmel School organized a yoga session for raising consciousness towards regular yoga practice and healthy well-being. The school yoga instructor designed a session to provide a blend of basic pranayama (breathing exercises) and asana (physical postures).

The event commenced with a warm-up session and the chanting of Om. The guided session steered the teaching staff through various Pranayama techniques, focusing on controlled breathing exercises. The session included popular pranayama practices such as Anulom Vilom, Kapalabhati, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Uttanasana, Virabhadrasana , Virabhadrasana II, Utthita, Trikonasana, Bitilasana, Marjaryasana, Adho Mukha Svanasana, Bhujangasana and Balasana.

The enthusiastic participation and active involvement of the staff members showcased their interest in embracing yoga as a means to improve their overall well-being. The event served as a reminder of the transformative power of yoga and its ability to positively impact the personal and professional lives of individuals thereby helping them to enhance physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

27th May 2023 - Summer Camp at QCS - Kaleidoscope of Fun Activities

The week's remarkable journey of discovery and enrichment at QCS Summer Konnect 0.3 culminated today on May 27 with a Grand Finale presentation in the school auditorium. The program had been meticulously crafted to offer a dynamic and immersive experience with activities that transcend boundaries. From fitness routines to graceful and rhythmic dance classes, story-telling sessions to weaving a story through props and puppetry, home aesthetics and décor to art techniques and sculpture, from traditional games to ball games and athletics, students explored their passion and unleashed their creative potential.

The grand finale presentation included an assortment of activities with the dance presentation: story narration, navrasa depiction, natika, a skit on good habits, hula hoop ring moves, traditional game representation, and fusion dance. It transcended conventional boundaries, encompassing a plethora of interests. Summer camp stood out as special for every child as Queens learned to counter their stage fear, tried new things, pushed their boundaries, and made memories to cherish.

15th May 2023 - Mother’s Day Celebration

Happy Mother's Day!! to the person who knows us better than we know ourselves

Little Queens of Kindergarten section put in a lot of hard work and dedication to make Mother’s Day special for their MOMs. They showcased their love and appreciation for all the hard work and selfless dedication, MOTHERS deliver in raising the children. Ambience of the auditorium was reverberating with the emotions of love and gratitude when each tiny-tot welcomed her MOM with the bouquet. Blessings of Almighty was invoked by the lamp lighting and stage was set for activities and games.

The Saga started with the spotlight on the mothers of Nursery who walked down the ramp twinning with their daughters. Dance duet was presented by the mothers and KG queens. Quick games like Dumb-charades, tongue-twisters & celebrity enactment made the event joyful and fun filled. The nimble feet of our little queens were no less and rocked the stage with their dance grooves and showered their love by singing –‘Love You Mommy’ Song.

The entire QCS fraternity took the opportunity to make Mother’s Day a memorable one for all the mothers who are instrumental in shaping their lives.

11th May 2023- National Technology Day

National Technology Day is celebrated across India on May 11 every year to commemorate India's successful nuclear tests in Pokhran in 1998. This day is dedicated to India’s technological advancement. In order to promote scientific temperament and technological advancements among the youth, QCS organized a session on National Technology Day, where knowledge on the latest advancements in technology was shared.

The session was held in the school auditorium and was attended by our senior Queens. The session began with an address by our HOS, who emphasized the importance of technology and its role in shaping the future. This was followed by a detailed presentation by our Science faculty on the history, significance and importance of the day and the achievements of various scientists, engineers and researchers that has ultimately led to the growth of our country. The session continued with an extensive discussion on development and use of technology and its impact on our society.

Following this, a Quiz and Q&A session was held where our Queens had the opportunity to evaluate and reinforce the acquired knowledge, ask questions and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of technology and how it has affected various aspects of their lives.

The session on National Technology Day was an informative and insightful event for our Queens as it not only increased their knowledge but also inspired them to explore and pursue careers in the field of science and technology.

8th May 2023 - World Red Cross Day & Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti

On May 8th, a special assembly was conducted in QCS on the occasion of World Red Cross Day and Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti. The assembly was organized by Class In-Charge and the Queens of Grade-VI and was attended by all the students, teachers, and staff members.

The Queens of Grade-VI highlighted the significance of both the occasions. They emphasized the importance of humanitarian work and how the Red Cross plays a vital role in providing aid during times of crisis. It was highlighted that the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore, his contributions to literature, art, and music have made him a national treasure.

Our honourable HOS spoke at length about the on-going efforts and initiatives of Red Cross. She raised awareness among the Queens about the importance of this organization and its contributions. She also encouraged them to volunteer in humanitarian activities.

In conclusion, the special assembly on World Red Cross Day and Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti was an informative and enjoyable event that brought together the entire school community. It provided an opportunity for our Queens to learn about the importance of humanitarian work and the contributions of one of India's greatest literary figures. The event was a testament to the school's commitment to promoting social awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the community.

6th May 2023- Life Skills Development Programme (LSDP)

Queen's Carmel School proffers a specially created Life Skills Development Programme (LSDP) on the first Saturday of each month. Through project-based learning, club activities, intra-house events, and interhouse contests, the programme is intended to teach soft skills, including social, behavioral, and creative abilities, as well as community outreach programs. The goal is to help them acquire critical abilities and get them ready for the challenges of the future. Numerous events were planned with their varied interests and abilities in mind, including a session on National Technology Day, story-telling sessions, and house competitions.- The senior Queens created their own balanced diet chart, while our junior queens took part in the "Make your own first aid box competition." The competition's objectives were to inform participants about SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and to encourage among students a sense of teamwork and good competitiveness. Club Activities: The Queens selected the clubs that most suited their interests and actively participated in them, including Beats and Rhythms (a music and dance club), Exotica (an art and craft club), Inspirem (a language club), Sports, and Home Aesthetic.

विद्धालय में कक्षा सात में दाखिला लेने वाली नयी छात्राओं वंशिका भाटी, इशिका और तनाशी ततः कक्स्षा पांच,और चार की छात्राओं ने बताया की हमे बड़ी अथार्त साथी मिलने के करण हमें अपना कक्षा कार्य पूरा करने, विधालय की खेल,संगीत की कक्षाओ, पियानो के पुराने पाठों का अभ्यास करने तथा आर्ट की कक्षाओं मे इंग्लिश, हिंदी, मैथ्स, साइंस, इतिहास के कार्य को पूर्ण करने के तरीको के बारे में हमे भालीभाती ज्ञान हो गया अब हम यहाँ अच्छे से सामंजस बैठा चुके है | हमे लगता है कि ये हमारा ही स्कूल है| लगता ही नही की हम यहाँ नये छात्र है|

21st April 2023 - Earth Day Celebration

QCS Queens celebrated Earth Day to Cherish the Planet...

World Earth Day is marked to raise awareness about environmental issues in more than 140 countries every year on April 22. Our Planet, Earth needs the dwellers to be aware of preventing activities like deforestation, pollution and indulging actively in plantation & no littering drives.

Little Queens of QCS were indulged in an awareness campaign for Healthier and Happier Earth through Art Integrated Learning & Craft activities. Importance of Recycle , Reducing and Reuse was discussed. Kindergarten Queens marched a rally on - 'Save Nature, Save Earth ' .

The whole idea of the campaign is to draw the attention of every child towards the majesty, irrepacability and fragility of our planet. Let's do our bit as it is well quoted- “The Earth is what we all have in common.”— Wendell Berry

17th April 2023 - WORLD HERITAGE DAY

On April 17, our school celebrated World Heritage Day with a special assembly that highlighted the importance of preserving our cultural heritage. Along with the assembly a range of activities were organized to mark the occasion. The assembly began with a brief introduction to World Heritage Day and the significance of preserving our heritage sites. This was followed by a quiz that highlighted the importance of our heritage and the need to conserve it.

One of the highlights of the day was the wall magazine competition on the seven wonders of the world, which was held on Tuesday. All the classes participated in the competition with great enthusiasm, and each class prepared a board on one of the seven wonders of the world. Our Queens worked tirelessly to research their topic and create visually appealing and informative boards.

The boards were displayed in the school hall, and the judges had a tough time selecting the winners as each board was unique and creatively presented.

Overall, the World Heritage Day assembly and the wall magazine competition were a huge success. They helped raise awareness about the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and gave our students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and research skills

13th April 2023 - Interschool Karate Championship Winners

With great pleasure, we would like to share that the QCS Queens have brought immense pride to the school with their exceptional performance at the Interschool Karate Championship held on April 12 and 13, 2023, at Cambridge School. Their remarkable skills in karate/taekwondo were on full display at this fiercely competitive event, as they maintained their winning streak and won a total of 16 medals, including 4 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze.

The QCS Queens' remarkable performance captured the attention of the entire hall, receiving thunderous applause as they emerged victorious, clinching the Overall Winner Trophy at the Championship. The sheer magnitude of their focus, discipline, unwavering determination, and indomitable grit were palpable throughout the tournament, affirming their well deserved status as champions.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our dear Queens, Sports In-charge Ms. Vidhi Bansal, and Taekwondo Coach Ms. Pooja for their outstanding efforts and dedication towards this achievement. Kudos to the entire team for their hard work and perseverance.

1st April 2023 - Orientation Program

On April 1, 2023, Queen’s Carmel School organized an orientation program titled "Positive Parenting" under the expert guidance of distinguished psychologist and counselor Dr. Roma Kumar. The prime objectives of the program were to, provide valuable insights into contemporary parenting practices and promoting a collaborative approach between parents and the school to facilitate holistic development of the child through scholastic and co-scholastic curriculum, integrated teaching methodologies, along with the various systems in place at the school.

The program was initiated with the ceremonial lighting of the sacred lamp by Chief Guest Dr. Roma Kumar, Honorable Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva, and H.O.S Ms. Sandhya Kumaria, accompanied by a captivating kathak performance that invoked the blessings of Maa Saraswati.

The Head of School extended a warm welcome to the parents and emphasized the importance of collaborative effort in shaping the future Queens. Honorable Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva expounded on the vision and ethos of QCS in detail.

Subsequently, a concise Power Point Presentation was delivered to the parents, providing them with information about the academic programs and pedagogies, planners, integrated learning methodologies, assessment patterns, and various school systems at QCS. The presentation culminated with a stunning performance by the Queens of QCS, showcasing their holistic development.

The distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Roma Kumar, a renowned Clinical Psychologist, conducted a captivating and interactive session on the topic of Positive Parenting. Dr. Kumar provided detailed insights on various methods of nurturing a child with love and care, to lay a strong foundation for a prosperous future. She also emphasized the pivotal role of parents in shaping their children, particularly during the crucial formative years of growth.

The program was an insightful and informative experience that offered parents valuable information regarding the school's facilities, policies, and resources. As a result, the attendees left the event feeling well-informed and suitably equipped for the upcoming academic year

18th March 2023 - Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony

Graduation – is a time to cherish new beginnings and bid adieu to everything that has been a reason to smile. Let‘s ring down the curtain of the past and march ahead to accomplish future aspirations. Queen’s Carmel School celebrated the Kindergarten Graduation ceremony on 18th March 2023, to applaud the young ebullient learners of kindergarten for completing their pre-primary level.

The program commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and a welcome song was presented by the little Queens. A beautifully woven power point presentation was shared with the parents, reflecting the journey of the little ones from their first day in the school to the culminating day of their kindergarten. The presentation highlighted the activities that kept Queens engaged throughout the year. Honourable Head of School Ms. Sandhya Kumaria congratulated the little inquisitive learners and their parents for the successful completion of the first level of their learning journey. The tiny tots danced to the upbeat music that exuberated the atmosphere and left everybody spellbound.

The Queens walked on the ramp robed in graduation caps and gowns and were presented with graduation certificates and sashes. The Queens were felicitated with titles according to their uniqueness and attributes describing their strengths. The program culminated with a gratitude song rendered by the Queens exhibiting love and affection towards their teachers.

Parents also expressed their trust and appreciation for the school and the teachers. It was indeed a memorable day that celebrated the achievements of little prodigies and sets the tone for their future academic success

15th March 2023 - School Picnic to URRJA Organic Farms

School picnics and outings are an important part of a student's education as they provide a valuable opportunity for socialization, exposure to new environments, learning through experience, physical activity, and learning teamwork and leadership skills.

The session 2022-23 culminated memorably. The school organized an excursion for the students of Grade Nursery to VI at URRJA organic farms, located on the outskirts of Greater Noida. The purpose of the picnic was to expose the students to the concept of organic farming and sustainable living.

The day was well planned through the plethora of activities. The organic farm was exhibited to the students, where they learned about the techniques employed in growing organic fruits and vegetables. They learned about the value of natural fertilizers and pesticides, its applicability to preserve the soil fertility and shield crops from harm. The creation of compost with vegetable and fruit peels, enzyme production from flowers like roses, marigolds, etc. and their utilization as disinfectants were demonstrated to the students. They were able to see firsthand how a sustainable farm operates, and the importance of taking care of the environment. Queens were encouraged to develop kitchen gardens at home.

After the farm tour, the students enjoyed some countryside activities like tractor rides and cart rides, adventure trails, jam sessions, and dancing. The students had a great time participating in these activities, and it helped to reinforce the significance of staying active and enjoying the outdoors.

Healthy and delicious food prepared from organic farm produce and cooked through traditional techniques was a major highlight of the day. It was again new learning for them. Overall, the school picnic at the organic farm was a great fun-filled and learning experience where Queens enjoyed the nature around them

6th March 2023 - Holi Celebration

Holi is a festivity full of enthusiasm encompassing the shines of the blooming season and smiles of the vibrancy that all hues of Holi colours bring with it.

Queens at QCS celebrated the two- fold significance of Holika Dahan commemorating the victory of Lord Vishnu aka Narasimha over the evil king Hiranyakashipu and 'festival of spring' by playing Holi with flower petals. Classrooms and Playground was resounding with echoes of the happy notes full of playful vibes.

Festive Fun proliferated the positivity inculcating the value of forget & forgive and victory of good over evil.

May the Queens shine as brilliantly as the vivid and vibrant hues of Holi Colours, bringing joy and positivity to all around them.

20th February 2023 - QCS Girls Shine at Taekwondo Colour Belt Test

Practicing Martial Arts - Taekwondo develops mental stability, control, self-discipline along with confidence, game skill and stamina.

Queens of QCS today, February 17, appeared for the Colour Belt Exams conducted by Brigade Martial Arts Academy.

It is a proud moment to share that all the 35 queens that had appeared for the Belt Test have cleared the first level and are now Yellow Belt.

23rd January 2023 - Republic Day Celebration

Republic day signifies the spirit of an independent and self-reliant nation. It allows us to celebrate the true essence of democracy along with patriotic fervor.

January 26, 1950, was a remarkable day when India adopted its constitution and saw the transition of the country to a Republic Nation. The constitution is indispensable for establishing a prosperous society where citizens are respectful, compassionate, and lawful.

Queen’s Carmel School, Greater Noida celebrated the 74 th Republic Day and Basant Panchami with immense patriotic fervor and zeal. The event started with Saraswati Puja to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati followed by flag hoisting and rendition of the National Anthem.

The Queens of all Grades accentuated the inception and importance of the Constitution through their spectacular presentation. They beautifully elucidated their thoughts and knowledge through stage presentations. They pledged themselves to uphold the honor, integrity and diversity of the country. Little Queens of Grade Thumbelina, Tulip and Jasmine enacted the famous slogans and sayings of eminent National Leaders.

Head of School Ms. Sandhya Kumaria explicated the Queens about the importance of this day through a story and inspired the Queens to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill all their duties as responsible citizens.

24th December 2022 - Sports Euphoria-2022

The annual event is an important element of the school calendar. It is the time to celebrate, felicitate and showcase the learning of students in the scholastic & coscholastic domains through their innate talent in sports configured with the fusion of culture. It’s the day to celebrate sportsmanship, teamwork and achievements.

On 24th December 2022, Queen’s Carmel School organized its Annual Sports FiestaEuphoria- 2022, which was a unique blend of cultural and sports exposition. The plethora of activities was woven with dance, music and sports which were presented by the Queens. The day commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and invoking the blessings of the almighty. Honorable Chairman Sir Mr. Anil Sachdeva, Director Sir Mr. Deepak Jain and HOS Ma’am Ms. Sandhya Kumaria declared the event open by releasing the balloons. The Head of School presented the annual school report highlighting the achievements and forethought for the coming years.

The Queens of Grade-IV, V & VI presented Rhythmic Yoga, elucidating the alignment of heart, mind, body and soul.

The graceful performance filled the whole atmosphere with positive energy.

The Queens of pre-primary elegantly tapped on the dance numbers with great zeal & exuberance. Their innocence and confidence were a visual treat for all. The Queens of Grades I, II & III mesmerized the audience with their dance drills.

Through skating, Queens presented diverse acrobatics showcasing their skill of balance, stamina and coordination. The ground was reverberating with cheers and applause. The Queens are provided with extensive training in self-defense which was exhibited through the Taekwondo drill with great vigor and passion.

To cultivate sportsmanship and physical assertion, grade-wise athletics was organized through races like crawl to win, sack race, relay race, spider race and many more, where Queens performed stupendously. The parents, friends and teachers cheered for them and encouraged them to perform at their best.

The event culminated with the felicitation ceremony. The winners were awarded medals and certificates for their exemplary performances in academic, inter-house competitions, inter-school competitions and sports.

The Honorable Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva appreciated the students & teachers for their hard work and impressive presentation. He also congratulated all for creating such a wonderful event.

29 November 2022 - Interschool Competition- 'Young Scholars'

Another feather was added in the cap of QCS Queens on participating and winning their mettle in the Interschool Competition- 'Young Scholars' .It was organized by Vanasthali Public School, Greater Noida on November 29,2022.

14th November 2022 - Children’s Day Celebration

Children’s day or Bal-Divas is celebrated on 14th November to mark the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who was very popular amongst children and was fondly called as Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji by children. Hence, Children’s Day is one of the most cherished celebrations of our country. On this occasion our school organized a grand carnival and fiesta.

The splendid celebration began with astounding magic show. The auditorium reverberated with enthusiasm when the magician showed astonishing magic tricks and interacted with the Queens. Our quick-witted Queens showed their observatory skills and kept the magician on his toes with their clever questions. In the afternoon the teachers surprised our Queens with a carnival. The Queens were overwhelmed with joy and enthusiasm when they witnessed the activities that the school had organized. Six stalls were put up that included various games and activities such as Hold the ball with paper cups and drop in the box, Ball and straw blower race, Place the eyes and tail for dinosaur, Guess the item in box and Cone and Ball roll. The highlight of the fiesta was a temporary tattoo parlor set up by the teachers. The celebrations came to an end with the Queens getting showered with chocolates and some valuable gifts such as stationery kit as a token of love and affection from the school.

21st October 2022-Diwali Celebrations

The auditorium of the Queen’s Carmel school reverberated with enthusiasm when the whole ambience was engrossed with the lights of joy, festivities, and happiness for the Diwali celebration. Diwali is the festival that brings luminescence and auspiciousness when we all come together and celebrate the victory of Shri Ram, symbolising the win of good over evil. The Diwali celebration in school helps to acquaint Queens with their heritage and traditions while celebrating the festivity together with their extended family in the school environment. Keeping up the tradition of celebrating the festival together, the school organised a special assembly to celebrate the festival of Diwali on October 21st, 2022 to highlight the importance of Diwali and simultaneously ensure joyful participation by all the Queens. The Queens were dressed up in beautiful ethnic attire for various acts.

The Queens and teachers adorned the zeal of the festival through a plethora of cultural and creative activities. Queens, along with their teachers, decorated the school premises with colours and glitter. They helped their teachers in making elegant lanterns and colourful rangoli designs and diyas. The entire school arena was resplendent with lovely Diwali decorations. The celebration started by invoking the blessings of the almighty. The little Queens of the pre-primary wing presented the lyrical Ramayan and mesmerised everyone with their presentation. The foot-tapping dance performance of the Diwali song was so delightful. The "Taraana" presentation inundated the ambience with positivity. The dramatisation of Ram Katha engrossed all in the devotional aura. The programme culminated with an outstanding dance performance. In her message to the Queens, HOS ma'am Sandhya Kumaria congratulated them and encouraged them to celebrate Diwali in a cleaner, greener, and safer manner.

30th September 2022- Dussehra Celebration

India is a land of diversity and has a vivid culture of diversity, traditions, and festivals. The celebration of festivals encourages the passing of this cultural heritage to future generations. Queen's Carmel School believes this responsibility bestows on us the opportunity to give children a stimulating, holistic environment where they develop culturally, aesthetically, and globally. On September 30th, 2022, the school celebrated Dussehra with a special assembly in which Queens were introduced to the epic tales of the Ramayana and the values embodied in Ramkatha.

The presentation started with the ceremonial lamp lighting and prayer, sung by the Queens of Grade I and II. The Queens of Grades IV and V presented "Durga Stuti", followed by a beautiful dance rendition by the Queens of Grade III to the song "Dholiya". The whole auditorium was engulfed in the colours of Gujarat and the folk essence of "Dandia". The Queens of Grades II and III presented the lyrical demonstration of "Mahishasur Mardan", which promulgated a strong message of the victory of good over evil. The little queens of pre-primary were no less. Their nimble feet danced to the beats of "Garba". Their performance was praised by all present.

Little Queens showcased "The Victory of Good Over Evil" in the form of craft activities like a face mask of Ravan, a poster of Ravan’s effigy, etc. Emphasis was laid on teaching the Queens the importance of education and to imbibe the knowledge and values of education in its true spirit, as education is the only weapon to eradicate all evils.

The joyful and blissful day wound up with the approbation of HOS ma’am. She inspired queens to inculcate the virtuosity of the goddess Durga. She motivated them to always follow the path of truth and rise high in life, holding up the strong value system.

19th September 2022- Health Checkup Camp

It can be quoted with absolute certitude that “A Healthy Mind Dwells in a Healthy Body.”

Health care education and hygiene maintenance are essential aspects of life skill development programs in the school. The primary aim of school hygiene education is to groom and develop self-etiquettes through useful practices. Mental and physical health is important for children in their growing years to institute an ingenuous personality. Queen's Carmel School, in collaboration with Apollo Healthcare, organised a Health Check-up Camp on September 19th, 2022 to raise awareness about healthy habits and hygiene among the Queens.

The camp was aimed at overall body check-ups, including height and weight.

The prime focus was on oral hygiene and dental care. Dr. Avantika, along with her team from Apollo Health Care, Greater Noida, came for the dental check-up. Every queen was delineated in detail about their dental health conditions.

The importance of maintaining oral hygiene was elucidated and corrective measures were explained to keep toothaches and dental problems at bay. The medical staff of the school also shed light on other domains of personal hygiene and how these can help students always stay healthy and active. The camp turned out to be very beneficial for the Queens

निज भाषा उन्नति अहै सब उन्नति को मूल
बिनु निज भाषा-ज्ञान के मिटत न हिय को सूल । - भारतेन्दु हरिश्चन्द्र

दुनिया भर में 366 मिलियन लोगों द्वारा बोले जाने वाली भाषा है – हिंदी। अतः यह विश्व की चौथी सबसे अधिक बोले जाने वाली भाषा है। हिंदी का इतिहास 1000 हजार वर्ष पुराना है। हिंदी हमारी राष्ट्रभाषा ही नहीं बल्कि हमारी पहचान भी है, इसलिए आज की पीढ़ी को उनकी सांस्कृतिक जड़ों से जोड़े रखने के लिए हिन्दी एक महत्वपूर्ण साधन है। हम दुनिया के किसी भी कोने में रहे यदि हम अपनी राष्ट्रभाषा से जुड़े रहते हैं तो ही हम अपनी सांस्कृतिक विरासत से भी जुड़े रहेंगे।

हिन्दी भाषा के प्रति छात्राओं को जागरूक करने के लिए स्कूल में हिंदी दिवस, 14 सितम्बर के अवसर पर कक्षा एक से पांच तक की छात्राओं के लिए इंटर हाउस दोहा एवं कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता में छात्राओं ने हिंदी दिवस विषय पर सुन्दर कविताएं प्रस्तुत की।

छात्राओं ने स्वरबद्ध दोहा वाचन कर सब को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। छात्राओं की प्रस्तुति बहुत ही उत्साहजनक एवं रोचक थी। विद्यालय प्रमुख ने छात्राओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि हमें अपनी राजभाषा को गर्व के साथ अपना कर उसे सम्मानित करना चाहिए। अंत में प्रतियोगिता के निर्णायक दल (विद्यालय प्रमुख, प्रबंधन प्रमुख व हिंदी शिक्षिका) ने विजयी हाउस की छात्राओं को मंच पर बुला कर सम्मानित किया।

12th September 2022 – Grandparent’s Day Celebration

To honour and express gratitude towards the grandparents, Queen’s Carmel School celebrated "Grandparent’s Day" on September 12th, 2022 with great exuberance.

Children in their tender years need compassionate supervision, patient hearing, and value-based guidance. All this is bestowed on them through the benevolent love and care of their grandparents. They are their best facilitators and friends, who teach valuable lessons about life through their own experiences and stories.

A celebration was organised in the school premises to acknowledge their contribution to the lives of their grandchildren through multifarious events and performances. The celebration started with the welcome of the grandparents, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. The little Queens of Jasmine welcomed their astounding grandparents through a foot-tapping dance performance. The grandparents walked down the ramp with their granddaughters, feeling proud and overwhelmed. The Queens of Tulip were no less and performed to the old classic melody "Nani Teri morni Ko….." to impress their grandparents.

Thereafter, the poem recitation by the Queens of Jasmine was truly adorning. The highlight of the event was the "Just a minute gaming session". The games were wholeheartedly enjoyed by our sporty grandparents.

The entire auditorium was reverberating with their laughter, applause, and effervescence. All the grandparents enjoyed the entire event, and they enunciated their felicity through their kind words of appreciation.

5th September 2022 – Teacher’s Day

Every year, September 5th is commemorated as "Teacher's Day" to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first president of India. He was a great visionary scholar and a teacher who promulgated the importance of education for the progress of individuals and the nation.

As quoted by Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, "Teachers are the backbone of any country; the pillar upon which all aspirations are converted into realities." A teacher's task is to ignite the mind and soul through the brilliance of knowledge and wisdom.

To honour the teachers and "Gurus", Queen's Carmel School celebrated the day by accrediting the teachers through a special assembly, which was jointly organised by teachers and students. The programme commenced with a melodious rendition of a prayer song sung jointly by the teachers and Queens to invoke the positivity and blessings of Maa Saraswati. Following that, the Honourable Head of School, Ms. Sandhya Kumaria, a leader and motivator for the entire QCS team, addressed the topic of how teachers can exert influence beyond the classroom with the right mixture of chalk and challenges. Her words of encouragement inspired everyone to dream more, learn more, and do more.

The day beautifully unfolded with a parody of old classic songs presented in a chorus by the teachers. A mesmerizing kathak performance by Miss Shatakshi elevated the euphoria by spreading the essence of culture. The preprimary teachers added the regional spice of Punjab through their foot-tapping dance to the Punjabi beats. The queens were no less keen to show their gratitude and solemn joy through winsome dance performances.

To recognise each teacher's indispensable contributions to the holistic development of our queens, they were bestowed with titles that suited their personalities and personified their unique qualities. A debonair gaming session was arranged, where teachers participated with great zeal and zest. The day wound up with lunch and delicacies specially organised by the school.

26th August 2022- Little Hands with Potter's Clay

A day-long workshop on pottery was organized by QCS for the queens under the guidance of pottery expert Ms. Harpreet.

With this amazing platform for creativity, queens not only found joy but also discovered their creative and exploratory instincts. Queens experimented with the potter's clay and came up with age-specific creations like happy faces, mugs, pots, plant holders, and mythological idols, and above all, they experienced the joy of creating something on their own and celebrating friendship and collaboration with the peer group.

Queens also learned hand-eye coordination and patience, as well as a sense of accomplishment and increased self-confidence.

The Queens wore an eye-to-eye smile that reflected their happiness and sheer joy at the pottery workshop.

19th August 2022 – Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami is one of the most sought-after festivals of Hindus that is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha (8th day of the dark fortnight) in the month of Bhadrapada to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna. This day accentuates the incarnation of Supreme Power, whose teachings always pervade mankind to follow the path of love, happiness, compassion, and truth in the journey of life. "Krishna Janmashtami" is also known as "Gokulasthami", which is celebrated with vehemence and fervour nationwide.

In a special assembly on August 19th, students at Queen's Carmel School were enthralled and ecstatic to learn about Lord Krishna's mythology and cardinal teachings. The school auditorium and boards were festooned with flowers, an effigy of Lord Krishna, bright lights, and captivating artwork.

Teaching and non-teaching staff, along with Queens from Tulip to Grade VI, congregated at the school auditorium to be a part of this commemoration. The programme was initiated with a welcome speech and a prayer song by the Queens of Grade V, followed by a thought of the day, and a speech on the importance of this occasion by the Queens of Grade VI. The cultural programme then turned over a new leaf with a splendid dance performance by Grades III and IV.

Subsequently, the Queens of Kindergarten to Grade II, decked up in the attires of Radha and Krishna in vibrant colours, further dazzled the stage with their exhilarating performance. Be it chorus bhajans, devotional dance, or invigorated recitation, their spectacular performance just augmented the aura of the celebration.

The Head of the school, Ms. Sandhya Kumaria blessed all the Queens on this auspicious day and gave them the message of looking ahead instead of reminiscing on the past, which summed up the efficacy of this religious celebration. The celebration then came to an end with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

10th August 2022: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

“With the spirit of freedom and pride in our hearts, let's salute our nation's independence.”

August 15 is the day when we celebrate the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. With the completion of 75 years of India's freedom and the onset of the 76th Independence Day, citizens have been celebrating "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" with the theme "Nation First, Always First".

The Independence Day Celebrations at Queen’s Carmel started with the unfurling of the National Flag, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem to honour the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and soldiers. “Vande Matram” and “Jai Hind” were the power words full of patriotism that resounded throughout the entire atmosphere with a feeling of nationalism.

A special assembly was organised where the toddlers of Thumbelina, Tulip, Lily, and Jasmine participated in a fancy dress activity. They adorned the ramp and were dressed as look-alikes of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Bhagat Singh, and Jhansi ki Rani. Their dialogues, full of courage and valour, recreated the times of the freedom struggle.

During the patriotic song "Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon" and the dance on "Hum Indiawaale", the Queens of Daffodil and Marigold demonstrated a sense of belonging and pride.

Grade III Queens showcased our cultural heritage while performing to the tunes of “Desh Mera Rangeela”. They opened the window to the sacrifices of freedom fighters by singing, "Aao Bachho tumhe dikhae Jhaanki Hindustan ki".

Instilling courage, strength, and belief in oneself, the Queens of Grades IV, V, and VI sang "Ekla Chôlo Re”, a Bengali patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore. Queens celebrated the bond of unity in diversity with a mesmerising rhythmic presentation on “Mile Sur Mera Tumahara”.

The school auditorium became the stage, promoting the emotions of nationalism and patriotism towards the nation. It was a special day with the theme "Nation First, Always First". The Head of School highlighted freedom as the most precious thing in every human's life and the feeling of pride to be a part of an independent, prosperous, and self-sustaining nation that has come a long way post-Independence. She drew attention towards the responsibility that comes with freedom, and we must utilise the opportunities as a virtue of freedom responsibly, as the communion of both is necessary.

In tri-colour scarves and wrist bands, the Queens adorned themselves with elegance. As a result of the Independence Day celebrations, the Queens developed and gained a greater sense of love, respect, and pride for the nation. Valuing the national spirit, wishing well and contributing to the nation’s progress is the essence of being patriotic.

10th August 2022: Raksha Bandhan Celebrations

"Rakhi" is the thread twined with a sparkling smile, beaded with sweet memories and glued with warm & loving wishes for a lot of happiness, now and always...

“Raksha Bandhan,” a festival that marks a special bond of love and care shared between brother and sister, falls on the full moon day-Purnima of the Shravan month. Sisters tie the “Rakhi” knot, wishing for the long, healthy, happy, and prosperous lives of their brothers, who in turn promise to fulfil their wishes and protect them from all the evils of the world.

Queens enthusiastically celebrated the festivity with a "Rakhi" making activity in all grades. The designing of the "Rakhi" and decorating the pious thread of love and affection with their own creativity and artistic flair was the best part of the "Rakhi" making activity by the Queens for their brothers.

During the special assembly, the Queens of Grade III emphasized the special bond between the siblings and shared its significance, dating back to the story of “Lord Krishna” and “Princess Draupadi” in the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

This celebration allowed the Queens to comprehend the true essence of the festival, including its history, significance, and relationship to our culture and traditions.

25th June 2022 - Summer Konnect 2.0

Summer Camp is a unique way to engross Queens in a world of fun-filled learning, foster social skills, cognitive development, and instill leadership attributes. It also allows them to remain intrinsically motivated and extrinsically excited to wean out of the daily routine.

To revamp the summer break in the Queens, Queen’s Carmel School organized a 10 days Summer Camp Summer Konnect 2.0, articulated with innately designed activities. Each day was uniquely planned, starting with skill based learning like disaster management, first aid, social etiquettes, table manners etc., followed by one fun activity including yoga, dance, music etc., and another application based learning pertaining to different streams of education like little scientists, virtual tours, quizzes etc. There was a plethora of activities which Queens enjoyed throughout the Konnect thereby amplifying their co-scholastic learning and grooming. A two week Summer Konnect 2.0 at Queen’s Carmel School culminated on 25th June, 2022 amid great zeal and zest. The finale turned vibrant with the enthusiastic learners who were bouncing with energy to present whatever they had learnt during the camp. The Finale started with a beautiful rendition of a prayer song by the Queens of Tulip and Jasmine. The innocence and piousness of their presentation energized the whole milieu. To add Furthermore, respected HOS ma'am's motivational speech inspired everyone to be the best at what they do and to be the master of their own niche. She encouraged them to broaden their horizons of learning and try new ventures outside of their comfort zone.

Queens presented a beautiful and devotional performance on the song ‘Hey Sharde Maa’ and recited spiritual shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita. The foot tapping dance performance by the Queens sanitized everyone and made the event even more euphoric. The choir group of Queens sang a mellifluous song and conciliated the entire ambience.

"Curiosity is the key to creativity." The exhibition was put up to showcase the art and ingenious creativity of Queens. Their learning and reciprocation of whatever they had engrossed in during the camp bewildered everyone. Queens also shared their memorable experiences during the Summer Konnect 2.0. It was an overwhelming session for both Teachers and Queens. Konnect was not only a learning experience for Queens, where they discovered themselves to be capable of performing tasks independently, but also a great opportunity for their mentors to unleash their potential and talent.

The Grand Finale of Summer Konnect 2.0 wound up on a positive note with singing the National Anthem and an alluring dancing session where Queens grooved and moved on the dance floor to their favourite tunes. Festivity ended with light refreshments given to all the Queens for their efforts and to make them feel ecstatic.

21st May 2022 - Interschool Skating Competition By Delhi Public School Ghaziabad

Queens Carmel School invigorates the integrated multifaceted development of a child through sports, performing art and literary activities. Queens are constantly encouraged to participate in various inter-school and intra-school competitions to scaffold team spirit, leadership skills and also to boost confidence among them.

Tanishka Tanwar of Grade IV participated in the Interschool Skating Competition organized by Delhi Public School Ghaziabad (DPSG Ghaziabad) on 21 May 2022 and bagged a Silver Medal by securing the second position in the junior category under the age group 9 to 11. It gives the School immense pleasure to trumpet her victory. She was facilitated and appreciated by Head of School for her achievement in the school during the morning assembly.

9th May 2022 - Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti

On 7TH May 1861 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India (now Kolkata, West Bengal, India) a poet, a musician, a composer, a painter, a writer, a playwright, a philosopher, an educationist, a social reformer, a person infused with multitudinous qualities was born; whom we reverentially address as Bishwakabi, Gurudev or Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore was not only the first Indian but the first Asian Nobel Laureate for his masterpiece “Geetanjali”. National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in India and ‘Amar Sonar Bangla’ in Bangladesh was written by him too.

Thus, to outpour sincere respect, admiration and affection towards such an eminent polymath, there could have been a no better day than his birth anniversary. Celebrating Tagore’s birth anniversary by school children shall certainly stir up to take foot steps towards the deep foot imprints engraved by him. Hence, on 9th May 2022, Queen's Carmel School jubilantly conducted a special assembly on the account of ‘Rabindra Jayanti’

His image was embellished with garlands and flowers. Backdrop was decorated keeping the theme in mind. Lamp was lightened and the congregation at the auditorium bowed before his figurine to show their due esteem and regards. His journey and contributions were expounded to the Queens along with a documentary video. Queens of Grade I and II rendered their understanding through short speech and narration.

A very popular song ‘Ekla cholo re’ was spread around by Tagore that exhorts the cardinal message of being a torch-bearer in one’s own life and continue their journey even if they are stranded or rejected by anybody in their voyage called ‘life’. This song was harmoniously sung by Queens of Grade IV, V and VI in both Bengali and Hindi version.

Rabindra sangeet ‘Phule phule dhole dhole ‘is a magnificent piece to describe nature. Our Queens performed ‘Rabindra Nritya’ on this song and exhibited their expressions in a winsome way. One of our Queens beautifully played National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ on Casio which bounded everyone’s attention in a single string.

The commemoration then finally came to a close with the National Anthem which usually is a norm, yet in this day it radiated Tagore’s vibes and permeated the aura in each and every corner of the vicinity.

2nd May 2022 - Soil Day

It is a well-known fact that healthy soil is the bedrock of a healthy life. In this context, Isha Foundation which is under the flagship of eminent spiritual leader and social activist Sadh guru is taking a conscious initiative to disseminate the message of ‘Save Soil, Save Planet’ through and among the young generation especially children.

At Queens Carmel School, we always encourage our Queens to be a part of such awareness programme. Hence, on 2 nd May 2022 a special assembly on SAVE SOIL was conducted to ingrain and promulgate the message amongst the Queens as environmental awareness is of maximal importance and is an indispensable part of the curriculum. To induce young minds to ponder about the global crisis of soil depletion and degradation, a documentary video was shown.

HOS Ma’am, Academic Coordinator and teachers elucidated that how soil erosion can decrease agricultural productivity and put the life of mankind at stake in near future. Emphasis was given on having a mindful approach in conserving and protecting the soil at their very own level through an integrated learning approach. Queens showed their support to the movement by writing a letter to the Prime Minister of India addressing their concerns and the exigency to the problem. They created posters and composed poetry to portray their support toward this noble cause. They also analyzed data of soil depletion in the last few years to understand the rising concern in a more logical way. In this special assembly, Queens not only generated awareness on’ Save Soil’ but understood it in a finer way through an integrated approach where they cultivated their speaking, listening, writing, artistic, logical and reasoning skills. It was overwhelming to see that our young generations in addition to paying heed towards environmental concerns were equally eager-beaver to act on the movement with a conscious approach.

9th April 2022 - PARENTS ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Holistic development of a child is of paramount importance in today’s contemporaneous society and unequivocally parents play a pivot role in collaboration with the school to achieve the same. Parents are the important stakeholders and a strong parent- school partnership undoubtedly provides immaculate support towards the academic growth of a child.

In pursuit of this, on 9th of April 2022, Queen’s Carmel School organized Parent’s Orientation Programme on positive parenting, propagating the theme- “Every child is unique” for the academic session 2022-2023, to familiarize parents with the various facets of the school in an awe-inspiring way. The entire school fraternity including revered Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva, School Director Mr. Deepak Jain and Head of School Ms. Purnima Dwivedi were present to extend a warm welcome to parents and the guest of honour – Dr. Manisha Singhal.

Dr. Manisha Singhal is a renowned Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist who has a rich experience of 12 years and is associated with Metro hospital Noida. She is a Mental Health Counsellor and has an expertise in working with children and adults in crisis. She has recently represented India at world Karate championship at Namibia and won Gold medal for the country.

The programme commenced with the lamp lightening ceremony by the dignitaries, along with a melodious ceremonial prayer song to invoke the positivity and blessings of the Almighty.

The Honourable Chairman Sir Anil Sachdeva encapsulated the audience with the vision, mission and ethos of the school and emphasized the active synergy between the parents and the school. He emphasised on active parental collaboration to make the institution a better place. Further, HOS Ms. Purnima Dwivedi addressed the gathering about the institution’s ideologies and enunciated the significance of only girls’ school.

Subsequently, the guest of honour Dr. Manisha Singhal struck a chord with the audience on the parenting issues and smeared them with the scientific principles at length. Her conferment came to a close with an interactive session with the parents. After that relevant session, the faculty members of the school projected an in-depth understanding of the school curriculum and pedagogical practices. Parents were given insight about the Academic Planners, Integrated curriculum, experiential learning, Value-based learning etc. Academic coordinator Ms Shalini Mishra elucidated all the school systems in detail to ensure a hassle-free and smooth functioning of the school.

Admission counsellor Ms. Somya Arora briefed about the strong school communication mediums which bring in cohesiveness and smooth functionality. On the whole, it was a prolific and beneficial day for all.

6th March 2022 - RUN FOR HER - MARATHON EVENT

Women have always played an indispensable role in uplifting human society and thus the entire world heralds 8 th March as an International Women’s Day to salute and recognize her contribution, as well as her existence.

This year Dainik Jagaran celebrated a marathon that proclaimed the slogan ‘RUN FOR HER A MARATHON’ to commemorate Women’s Day at NIET Campus, Knowledge Park 2, Greater Noida on 6th March 2022 where the staff members of Queen’s Carmel School actively participated with great zeal in the event

In this Marathon, not only women but men and children came up and actively participated, thereby acknowledging the benefaction of women in each and every stratum of our society. Our Head of School along with teaching and non-teaching staff congregated at NIET Knowledge Park 2 College campus at around 6’O clock. At, the very onset there was a warm-up session through Zumba exercises, post that the chief guest of the programme - The ADCP Noida Ran Vijay Singh, ADCP Greater Noida Vishal Pandey, and District Magistrate Anita Nagar led the marathon with a flag in their hand followed by the participants. The marathon covered a distance of approximately 7km and then returned back to the starting point around 7 a.m.

Our team was felicitated with a medal for the successful accomplishment of the race. In the same breath, our Head of School had the privilege to equate the ethos of our organization of promoting girls’ education to the event.

It was a glorious event that proliferated the message of gender equality and uniformity to not only the participants but also the local people who were present in the vicinity.

5th February 2022 - Vasant Panchami

“Ya kundendu tushara haara dhavala, ya
shubhra vastravrita
Ya veena vara danda mandithakara, ya
shwetha padmaasana”

On the auspicious day of Vasant Panchami, which falls on the 5th Day of Magha month, heralds the advent of the spring season, the Hindu Goddess Saraswati is venerated wholeheartedly by everyone, especially the learners and students. People spruce up in different shades of yellow, as it is believed to be the favourite colour of Goddess and thus indicates the colour of knowledge and wisdom; the yellow colour also marks the blooming of mustard flowers in the early spring.

This year Vasant Panchami has been solemnized on 5th February. The staff members convened in the entrance hall to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The floors were embellished with colourful rangolis, the premises was festooned with flowers and floral crafts. The virtual presence of our little and energetic Queens added more colours to the auspicious day.

Right from the ingenious Queens of Tulip to Grade-V, there was a conspicuous performance. Various activities were formulated to indulge and inculcate the spirit of the festival. Sparkling Queens of Grade Tulip and Jasmine decked up in yellow colours prepared beautiful crafts with yellow origami sheets and painted hand-print flowers, which rendered the significance of the festival in the young minds. Dance on Saraswati Vandana was rendered by the Queens of Grade – Daffodil, and Marigold ,while the Queens of -III, IV, and V chanted Saraswati Vandana, Saraswati Mantra, Shloka's and Stotrams in an obliged way understanding the purport and essence of this occasion. Queens were indoctrinated with the history and momentousness of the festival by their teachers through speech and related videos.

HOS Ma'am adored all the Queens for their beautiful rendition and appreciated the endeavour put in by all the Queens, their parents, and teachers. Ma'am also wished that the Deity continue to pour blessings on them and enlighten their lives with knowledge and happiness.

25th January 2022 - Republic Day Celebrations

It was a remarkable day of 26 January 1950, when India adopted its constitution and saw the transition of the country to a Republic Nation. It rendered an approach of respect, equality and reverence towards fellow citizens. Republic day signifies National Integrity and a promise to preserve our heritage, culture and National ethos. It gives us an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Swaraj and to pay gratitude to the great visionaries behind it. This year it was fuelled by the spirit of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

Queen’ Carmel School, Greater Noida celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with immense patriotic fervor and zeal through an online platform. A plethora of activities were organized to infuse the spirit of unity and patriotism among the Queens. The event started with flag hoisting and rendition of the National Anthem.

The Queens of Tulip & Jasmine recited poems, expressing their emotions and feelings towards the great freedom fighters of the Nation. The students of Grade Daffodil and Marigold presented soulful songs and dance to celebrate the monumental day. Queens of Grade III-V enacted the famous slogans and sayings of eminent National Leaders.

The Queens were shown informative videos, reiterating the importance of the Drafting Committee headed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. They were illuminated through class discussion about the significance of the Republic Day and pledged themselves to uphold the honor, integrity and diversity of the country.

Head of School Ms. Purnima Dwivedi inspired the Queens with her motivational words and told all the Queens to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill all their duties as responsible citizens.

21st December 2021 - Christmas & New Year Celebration 2021

As the air gets frost and chilled, people all around are excited and thrilled to paint the town red, and get their desires fulfilled. On 21st December 2021, the day of Winter Solstice, Queen’s Carmel School geared up in full force to celebrate natal day of Jesus Christ and to welcome the coming New Year.

The bulletin boards in the corridors were emblazoned with Christmas and season’s greetings. Queens decorated the X-Mas trees with balls, gifts, drums, stars etc. and made beautiful greeting cards with winsome messages which they exchanged with their friends.

The program started with a prayer, presented by the Queens of Grade-III and Grade-IV to seek the blessings of Almighty. Shortly after that, the antiquity, pertinence, and significance of the Christmas celebration were beautifully enunciated by the Queens of Grade-V. The little toddlers of Grade Tulip and Jasmine mesmerized

everyone with their toe tapping dance performance. Queens of Grade Daffodil and Marigold dazzled the stage again with a pom-pom dance on the song ‘Jingle-bells, jingle bells’. Christmas carols and New Year songs sung by the Queens of Grade-I to V seemed to be like a crowning stroke that cheered up the beheld festive mood of the audience.

The Queens were flabbergasted by the entry of the Santa Claus who distributing toffees and chocolates to them and amplified their happiness manifold. The program came to an end with a speech from the Head of the School. Ma’am appreciated the performance of the Queens and elucidated that the Christmas and New Year is much more than gifting and celebration. She inspired the Queens to be always compassionate, loving and responsible towards others. She encouraged Queens to be the reason of joy and Happiness for people around.

15th November 2021 - Children's Day

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” - Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.

A day marking childhood was celebrated with much zeal and zest through special assembly at Queen’s Carmel School on 15th November 2021. Childhood is a paradise of new thoughts and imaginations, which need wings of trust and appreciation to fly. On this Children’s Day we gave our Queens a platform to live up their fantasies and replicate their favourite Disney character.

The day commemorated with invoking the blessings of almighty. The relevance of the day was shared with the Queens through informative speech. The theme “Queens at Fairyland” was all set through beautiful stage and red carpet. The Queens were beautifully dressed up as their favourite Disney Princesses. They stepped into the shoes of Rapunzel, Snow white, Cinderella, Elsa etc. and walked up the red carpet buzzing with confidence and excitement.

Disney Quiz, riddles and small games played in between, added more colours to the entire event. Honorable HOS ma’am gave her blessings and inspired the little Queens to be real life Queens through their act of kindness, love for all and right actions. Her words of wisdom motivated one and all present there.

The day ended with distribution of sweets and goody bags to all the Queens. The happiness and joy of the Queens personified the entire QCS campus into a garden of beautiful blossoms.

1st November 2021 - Diwali

“On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, let us all pledge to remove the darkness of ignorance and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge from our society.”

The festival which leads from gloom to luminescence; the festival which leads the mind from contempt to love; the festival which emphasizes the conquest of virtuous over iniquitous is Diwali.

Diwali-the festival of lights is reckoned that on this day Lord Rama, along with Sita and his fondest young brother Lakshmana returned home after 14 years of exile. Besides this, there are many other narratives too signifying the celebration of this festival, however each story proclaims the same message- “Victory of good over evil.’’

The school had a whale of a time as it conducted the special assembly on 1st November 2021. The entire school was prettified with paper-lanterns, Diya’s, floral hangings (torans), traditional mangal-ghat and floral charms which was passionately prepared by the Queens and staff-members.

Queens of G-IV started off the programme by chanting Saraswati Vandana in a melodious way to seek the blessing of Goddess Saraswati, which was followed by a thoughtful message that underlined the importance of eradicating the darkness of mind.

The ambience of assembly hall got more joyous as the winsome toddlers of Grade Tulip recited the action rhyme – ‘Jag mag-jag-mag aye Diwali’- with their innocent gesticulation. Nextly, an eye-captivating Diya dance with alluring expressions by Queens of Grade- Daffodil and Marigold on ‘Aayo re shubh din aayo’ illuminated the vicinage there.

The essence of Diwali remains incomplete without the narrative of Ram Katha which was articulated delectably by Queens of Grade- III, IV and V while poem recitation by Queens of Grade-Daffodil engulfed everyone in a world of fascination. Further, Queens of Grade-III, IV and V collectively jazzed up the stage with full exhilaration by performing Garba dance.

‘A safe Diwali is a happy Diwali’, so the Queens were intimated about the Do’s and Don’ts while celebrating the festival. At the end, the Head of the School blessed all the Queens and motivated them to walk on the path of truth and wisdom. The order of the day was finally concluded by National Anthem.

On 2nd November 2021 an intra-school Rangoli making activity was collocated. The Queens enthusiastically set forth to decorate the floors along with their respective class teachers. Floors were beautifully festooned with flowers petals, leaves, finely grounded colours, coloured rice-grains which furthermore augmented the aura of the school premises.

11th October 2021 - Dussehra celebration

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Queen’s Carmel School. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, Queens not only learn the significance behind these festivals, but they also learn to embrace our traditions and rich cultural heritage.

Celebrations bring the school community together, building a close bond between the children. Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated with great zeal and zest by the Queens on 11th October 2021. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated on the 10th day of Navratri.

Dussehra signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan, hence it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

Queens participated in various activities related to Dussehra and enjoyed valuable information shared by the teachers about the festival. The celebration was a part of our philosophy ‘learning by doing’ and therefore through this celebration they made puppets, effigy of Ravan, listened to related stories and inculcated the values of truth, honesty and courage.

Queens of Grade Tulip and Jasmine made a face mask of Ravan on an ice cream stick and vowed to follow the path of honesty and truthfulness. Queens of Grade Daffodil and Marigold enjoyed making poster on Ravan’s effigy which carried the message “Truth shall always prevail, Good shall always reign”.

Mesmerising finger puppets of Ravan and Lord Rama were created by the Queens of Grade III and IV. A beautiful speech was presented by Ratika Singh and Ramya Malhotra of Grade V highlighting different ways of celebrating Dussehra across India, thereby glorifying our cultural diversity.

The teachers and the respected HOS ma’am blessed the Queens with their inspiring words and encouraged them to always walk on the path of truth.

1st October 2021 - Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Celebration

Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and it is one of the three national holidays of India. He is also known as the "Father of The Nation" and this title was given to him by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose for his relentless struggles for independence.

Dr. Lal Bhadur Shastri is an Indian politician and the former Prime Minister of India. He supported India's White Revolution and the Green Revolution, which increased India's milk production and food production. His slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" is very popular. Lal Bahadur Shastri was a man of common people who had always worked to uplift them. He was a fantastic leader and an incredible prime minister.

On Saturday, 2nd October, along with the entire nation Queen’s Carmel School paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary and to our Honourable Second Prime Minister Dr. Lal Bahadur Shastri.

They are the exemplary National Leaders and their lives have impacted humanity to its core. Gandhiji is someone who is acknowledged not only by Indians but internationally for his doctrine of non-violence. Thus, this day is also celebrated world-wide as International Nonviolence Day.

To revere this day, Queen’s Carmel school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and, Shastri Jayanti with full exuberance.

The significance of the famous slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kishan" given by Dr. Lal Bahadur Shastri was elucidated by the teachers to the Queens.

Gandhian ideals were depicted through patriotic dance by the Queens of Grade Daffodil and Marigold in a graceful manner.

Popular Gandhian catch-phrase “Bura-mat Suno, Bura-mat Bolo, Bura-mat Dekho” was presented through stick puppets by the little Queens of Tulip and Jasmine. Thereby value of positive outlook towards life was inculcated through this fun filled activity in our little Queens.

Theme-based posters and cards made by the Queens, gave them insight to the valuable teachings of these two pre-eminent leaders and they vowed to become responsible citizens of India.

30th September 2021 - PTM REPORT

The Result PTM was organized to discuss the academic performance of Cycle-I of the Queens.

The exuberance and excitement was much in the air by the presence of our Queens, Parents and Staff members.

Parents were informed about the PTM well in advance through a circular. They were given an option to attend the meeting online and offline as per their convenience. It was good to see most of the parents turned up and attended the PTM personally.

Parents were apprised about the overall performance of their ward in both scholastic and soscholastic avenues. They had a brief discussion with the Class Teacher and the subject teachers.

Ample time was given to each parent to talk and discuss the progress of their ward with the teachers.

26th September 2021 - Web Training on Art of Ventriloquism

Topic: Talkative Puppets: The Power of Ventriloquism

CBSE Bharat Sahodaya Complex organised a workshop on Talkative Puppets on Zoom platform. The workshop focused on power of puppets in teaching and as a useful teaching aid used to help pupils to develop their communication skills. The workshop started at 5 pm with the welcome address by Dr. Jyoti Jain, who presented the opening remarks and purpose of the workshop. Other dignitaries invited to the workshop were - Dr. Abdul Salam and Arun Mohan. Interested teachers and students from various schools and institutions were invited to the workshop. Targeted participants were KG and Primary teacher and total 1000 educators turned in for the workshop.

The workshop proceeded with the welcome of M. Santhosh Kumar, a renowned ventriloquism artist from Hyderabad and also the resource person of this workshop. M. Santhosh Kumar emphasised the need of puppet as an educational activity for the mental and linguistic growth of a child. He showed some of the beautiful puppets created by him. Moreover, he presented few acts with varying voice modulation which was extremely captivating and fun to watch. The interactive and ambitious workshop with M. Santhosh Kumar enlightened us with valuable insights of how puppets plays a vital role in student’s development of -

  • Language
  • Listening skills
  • Visual spatial intelligence
  • Motor skills
  • Social development

The workshop proved to be a true learning experience for all of us and provided inspiration of practicing our ancient form of art, ie, puppet making.

21st September 2021 - International Peace Day

The International Peace Day is celebrated on the 21st of September every year, followed by the tradition of ringing The Peace Bell which is located in the Japanese Garden of United Nations headquarters. The tradition of ringing The Peace Bell is pursued twice a year, one on the first day of spring and second on the 21st of September.

On this harmonious day, various activities were organized for different Grades, where Queens participated with full enthusiasm.

  • Hand printing activity was conducted for Grade Tulip, Jasmine, Daffodil and Marigold where Queens showed their artistic skills and understood the significance of International Peace Day.
  • Queens from Grade III to V did a slogan writing activity. They tried to give beautiful message of love and peace through written messages, videos and posters.

The day culminated with an informative discussion and presentation on eminent personalities and Nobel Peace Prize recipients who have contributed for World peace and humanity.

8th September 2021 - International Literacy Day

The inherent talent of the Queens of Queen’s Carmel School is nurtured through a plethora of cultural activities integrated in the school curriculum, and with the holistic concept of learning along with fun activities, is reaching the pinnacle of happiness for the entire school fraternity.

In continuation with all other round- the -clock events, the school also commemorated the International Literacy Day on 8th September 2021. It is worth mentioning that it was a window for the pupils to fly out of the gadgets and online world and coddle themselves in the softback. This week’s activities triggered their creative writing skills, enhanced oratory skills, inculcated library etiquettes, simultaneously amplifying their literary content. It was undeniably an amazing exercise for the Queens to express their views in all possible ways

3rd September 2021 - Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India every year on 5th September to appreciate the role played by the teacher in the life of students- the future and leaders of tomorrow.

To acknowledge the dedicated efforts of teachers especially during the testing times of the pandemic, Teacher's Day was celebrated with great zeal at Queen's Carmel School. To commemorate former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary, teachers shared informative videos and information regarding the importance of the day. Queens celebrated the occasion by making beautiful cards, sharing PPTs and heartfelt messages, expressing their gratitude and love towards their teachers. HOS Ms. Purnima Dwivedi motivated and addressed the teachers to perform all the responsibilities with great dedication.

Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, who is considered as one of the most powerful reincarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Contemporary India continues to hold the age-old belief in their heart and observes the day with lot of ecstasy and enthrallment and so did Queen’s Carmel School without leaving any stones unturned.

On the day of celebration an aroma of religious joy filled the premises. The school auditorium was beautifully adorned keeping the theme in mind. The walls were embellished with bright lights, vibrant flowers and captivating art-work. With due consent from parents, Queens of Grade Nursery to Grade V enthusiastically participated in the occasion and made the celebration even more enchanting and livelier.

Queens decked up in attires of Radha and Krishna in vibrant and sparkling colours which transformed the premises into a transcendental yard. Be it devotional dance moves or chorus bhajans by the budding minds, everything just added dazzle to the celebration.

Lastly, the Head of the school, Ms. Purnima Dwivedi blessed all the Queens on this auspicious day and gave them the message as always-looking ahead instead of reminiscing in the past which summed up the efficacy of this religious celebration.

7th July 2021 - Van Mahotsav

Van Mahotsava is an annual tree-planting festival celebrated in the month of July in which thousands of trees are planted all over the country. Van Mahotsav week is celebrated from 1 July to 7 July to spread awareness of forest conservation and to save the environment.

It was started to create awareness in the mind of the people for the conservation of forests and planting of new trees. Van Mahotsav is celebrated as a festival of life. In India it was started as a crusade to save mother earth.

Plantation drive was organized on Tuesday, 6th July2021, where sapling of trees were planted and adopted not only by the teachers and our Queens but also by all the staff members. This way we wish to see our trees grow and Bloom along with our Queens. Compost bin was also made in the school to make our Queens aware and conscious towards the same.

On Wednesday, 7th July 2021 through special assembly, Queens along with their teachers presented and showcased their efforts to save our environment.

21st June 2021 - International Yoga Day

The International Yoga Day is observed annually on June 21st. The idea behind the day is to create awareness about yoga and its many benefits. As a part of fit India mission Queen’s Carmel school also celebrated it virtually.

The Day was celebrated by students and teachers together with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration started with synchronized recitation of Gayatri mantra and prayer followed by the speech by our Honorable HOS Ma’am. She encouraged students to practice yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. She said that It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with you, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in our wellbeing.”

Teachers started with warm up and breathing exercises. Then Surya Namaskar was performed and benefits were explained simultaneously. The session highlighted the significance of regular practice of yoga will to help students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually and help to create harmony between mind and body.

19th June 2021 - Father’s Day Celebration

QUEEN’ S CARMEL SCHOOL celebrated Father’s day for the very first time on a virtual platform on 19th June, 2021. The girls looked much excited and thrilled to come along with their fathers, which is otherwise a rare occurrence. It was lovely to see father - daughter duo sitting together during the celebration.

The school celebrated the day in their own special way by asking students to honor their fathers, their hero, by sharing their pictures. The event started with fathers expressing their feelings and appreciating the efforts of the school. The event took off with the blessing of Almighty. Our honorable Hos Ms. Ma’am Purnima Dwivedi, shared her thoughts and highlighted the importance of a father’s role in a child’s life.

The students showcased their love and respect for their fathers through various activities such as card making, cooking, singing, dancing, reciting poems etc.

There was a PowerPoint presentation which paid gratitude to some of the great fathersdaughter duos who are a source of inspiration for all of us. The session concluded with thanking the students, teachers and parents for all the efforts put by them. The entire programme made everyone had a feeling of gratitude and being nostalgic at the same time.

5th June 2021 - Environment Day Celebrations

The purpose of World Environment Day is to spread awareness about the threat to the environment due to rising pollution levels and climate change. The first World Environment Day was observed in 1974, giving a global platform for inspiring positive change in the environment.

The event started with welcoming everyone, followed by enlightenment by HOS Ma'am through her valuable thought and beautiful speech. Information was shared with students and they were sensitized about the increasing pollution, imbalance coming in our ecosystem.

A beautiful power point presentation was presented by Ms Somya Chawla.

Activity of the day: - Children enjoyed making butterflies with green leaves. They shared their informative videos and pictures with us. Children understood the importance of World environment day and took a pledge with their teachers to protect the environment and grow more trees.

24th May 2021 - Summer Konnect Opening Ceremony

Vacations are the best time to explore new things and develop new skills. It was summertime, a time where students can unleash their hidden talent and inner potential. Queen’s Carmel School conducted its first Summer camp, QCS Summer Konnect 2021 from 24th May to 11th June, through virtual platform.

The QCS Summer Konnect was a specially designed complimentary programme offered by the school keeping in mind the versatile interest of our queens. The programme was designed with plethora of activities ranging from fitness to Dancing, Cooking to Gardening, Calligraphy to Art and Craft.

  • The ceremony started with prayer to seek the blessings of Almighty, followed by welcome speech by honorable HOS Ma'am Ms. Purnima Dwivedi
  • Mentors were introduced to the queens, who took them to the world of Science, Art, creativity, dance, mathematics etc. and prepared them physically, psychologically and mentally.

10th May 2021 - Mother’s Day Celebration

Mother’s Day was celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm on May 10th, 2021. The day started with invoking blessings of almighty and virtual lamp lightning ceremony was done as light is a symbol of brightness and prosperity. Honourable Head of School, Mrs Purnima Dwivedi addressed the gathering wherein she told how unconditional a mother’s love is. After that, audience revived their music buds by listening to a beautiful song “Meri Maa” which depicts that mother’s love is unconditional.

After that, our little queens presented al token of love to their beautiful mothers and paid gratitude through their performances, presented through power point presentation.

To make the day more interesting, ‘Tambola’ was played with mothers and winners were presented with surprise gifts.

Later, mothers of our students shared their views about the day and thanked for the event.

To rock the virtual stage, our little queens Adhishtha Singh and Purvi Mishra of Grade III and Ratika Singh of Grade V presented a beautiful song which made the audience immersed in melody dipped music notes.

Our queen Panchi Nagar of Grade II and her mother presented a beautiful dance number. At the end of the programme, a vote of thanks was presented to thank each and every one who was the part of the event.
