20th January 2023 - National Road Safety Week Celebration

National Road Safety Week is observed from January 11 to 17 every year to propagate the cause of safer roads for all. The primary purpose of this campaign is to emphasize and educate people about the importance of road safety rules. During the week, various activities and awareness campaigns are organised throughout the country to create awareness among general public regarding road safety.

To commemorate this week, Queen’s Carmel School organized a road safety day on January 20, 2023. The objective was to encourage our Queens to be a part of this awareness program and be well-versed with road safety and traffic rules and tips. The day commenced with a role-play by the Queens of kindergarten on road safety. All the Queens subsequently watched an informative video lesson on traffic signs and safety advice. This was followed by a quiz and an interactive session to resolve their queries. The Queens were then guided through the school and provided training on the different road signs, as well as the rules for the playground and school buses. Road safety precautions and the significance of following the rules were also highlighted. At the end of the day, worksheets were provided to evaluate the acquired knowledge. It was an eventful, engaging and productive day.
