Community Outreach & Social Responsibility

Project-Based Learning on SDG 2 – Zero Hunger

In alignment with global sustainability goals, Queen’s Carmel School integrated Project-Based Learning centered on Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger. Students explored themes of nutrition, healthy eating, and sustainable food practices through research, collaborative discussions, and hands-on activities. Creative exhibits such as mini kitchen gardens and digital menu cards showcased student learning while spreading awareness about hunger, food security, and responsible consumption.

Joy of Giving – Annual Outreach Initiative

Queen’s Carmel School observed Joy of Giving as an annual initiative dedicated to nurturing empathy, compassion, and social sensitivity among students. Learners enthusiastically contributed clothes, books, stationery, food items, and essential utilities for the underprivileged, reinforcing the values of generosity, sharing, and social inclusion. As part of the initiative, students personally visited an orphanage and an old-age home, where they expressed their care and affection through meaningful interactions. Adding a personal touch, students created handmade cards and penned heartfelt wishes, spreading warmth, joy, and emotional connection among the less privileged, and making the experience truly memorable for both the givers and the recipients.

Diwali Fest – Charity Fundraising Initiative

A socially meaningful Diwali Fest was organised wherein students, parents, and staff collaborated in festive stalls and activities. The funds raised were donated to charitable causes, blending cultural celebration with community service and promoting responsible, value-based celebrations.

Safety, Well-Being & Life Skills

Cyber Safety & Digital Awareness Workshop

Queen’s Carmel School conducted a Cyber Safety and Digital Awareness Workshop in collaboration with cybercrime authorities to sensitize students to the importance of safe and responsible online behaviours. The programme focused on educating learners about cyber threats, digital ethics, data privacy, and the responsible use of technology. Through interactive discussions, real-life case examples, and expert guidance, students were made aware of safe online practices, cyber laws, and preventive measures. The initiative empowered students to navigate the digital world confidently, responsibly, and ethically.

Personal Safety & Life Skills Programmes

Queen’s Carmel School conducted structured Personal Safety and Life Skills Programmes to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students. These sessions focused on critical themes such as personal safety, Stranger Danger awareness, POCSO guidelines, and responsible behaviour in the face of Digital Threats. Through age-appropriate discussions, interactive activities, role plays, and expert-led sessions, students were guided to recognize unsafe situations, understand their rights and responsibilities, and respond confidently and appropriately. The programmes aimed to empower students with awareness, resilience, and essential life skills, enabling them to navigate both real and virtual environments safely and responsibly. Health & Community Collaboration.

Health and Wellness Initiatives

Queen’s Carmel School places strong emphasis on the physical and emotional well-being of its students. In collaboration with medical professionals and healthcare partners such as Health Set Go, the school organised comprehensive health check-ups and wellness programmes for students. These assessments provided detailed health reports, enabling early identification of health concerns and promoting preventive care. In addition, regular webinars and workshops were conducted for parents to create awareness on essential topics such as nutrition, immunization, and overall child wellness. These initiatives reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing healthy, informed, and well-balanced learners.
