20th December 2025 : A Symphony of Elements and Values: Tatvagatha 2025

The Annual Function of Queen’s Carmel School, titled Tatvagatha: The Story of the Five Elements, was celebrated with great splendour and cultural richness on 20th December 2025 at the school premises. Inspired by ancient Indian philosophy, the theme revolved around the Panchatatva— Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space, portraying them as fundamental forces that sustain life and shape human consciousness.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Hon’ble Chairman, Mr. Anil Sachdeva, Hon’ble Director, Mr. Deepak Jain; and the Head of School, Ms. Sandhya Kumaria, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. The dignitaries appreciated the school’s commitment to holistic and value-based education.

A vibrant cultural presentation followed, featuring a harmonious blend of dance, music, narration, yoga, and sports. Each element was brought alive through expressive performances — Earth symbolised stability and coexistence, Water reflected purity and responsibility, Fire represented transformation, Air conveyed freedom and balance, while Space highlighted infinity, inner harmony, and India’s space achievements. Energetic displays of sports drill, Taekwondo, and skating added vigour to the programme.

The felicitation ceremony honoured academic achievers and co-scholastic performers, followed by the Annual Report presented by the Head of School, highlighting the institution’s academic and co-curricular accomplishments.

The programme concluded with the school song, a unifying finale, and a heartfelt vote of thanks. Tatvagatha stood as a profound reminder that education is not confined to textbooks alone—it is a journey of values, balance, creativity, and harmony, thoughtfully nurtured at Queen’s Carmel School.

29th November 2025 : Educational Excursion to the National Zoological Park, New Delhi

Queen’s Carmel School organized a thoughtfully curated educational excursion to the National Zoological Park, New Delhi, for the Kindergarten students (Nursery, LKG & UKG) on 29th November 2025. The visit aimed to extend classroom learning into a real-world environment, fostering curiosity, exploration, and early environmental consciousness among our young learners.

The day commenced with enthusiastic students boarding the buses, guided diligently by teachers and support staff. Their excitement set the tone for a day of discovery and experiential learning. Upon arrival, children were welcomed by the lush greenery and diverse habitats that make the Delhi Zoo a vibrant center of biodiversity.

Throughout the visit, students observed a wide range of animals— from the regal white tiger and graceful deer to vibrant birds, reptiles, and primates. Teachers engaged learners in meaningful discussions, helping them identify species, understand habitats, recognize behavioral traits, and appreciate the importance of wildlife conservation. This interactive exposure significantly enhanced their observational skills, vocabulary, and conceptual understanding.

The experience was further enriched as the students enjoyed their meals amidst nature, fostering social interaction, independence, and a sense of appreciation for outdoor learning spaces. The seamless coordination and smooth conduct of the trip ensured that students remained safe, engaged, and joyful throughout.

29th November 2025- Queen’s Carmel School as Collaborative Partner for Curious Mind Playschool – Annual Sports Day

Queen’s Carmel School (QCS) had the privilege of serving as a collaborative partner to Curious Mind Playschool for the successful conduct of their Annual Sports Day on Saturday, 29th November 2025, hosted at the serene and wellequipped QCS Condominiums. This association stands as a hallmark of QCS’s forward-looking vision to extend its educational excellence beyond its own campus and to foster meaningful partnerships with emerging institutions.

In alignment with its commitment to sharing educational resources, strengthening academic ecosystems, and uplifting partner schools, Queen’s Carmel School offered comprehensive support ranging from venue facilitation and logistical coordination to safety management and event oversight. The collaborative effort ensured a meticulously organized and joyfully executed sports day for the young learners of Curious Mind Playschool.

26th November 2025: Report on Constitution Day Celebration Queen’s Carmel School, Beta-I, Greater Noida

On 26th November, 2025 Queen’s Carmel School, Beta-I, Greater Noida, enthusiastically celebrated Constitution Day with a series of meaningful and engaging activities aimed at instilling constitutional values and national pride among students.

The day began with an insightful briefing on the significance and relevance of Constitution Day, helping students understand the foundation of India’s democratic framework and the core ideals enshrined within it. Following this, the students collectively read aloud the Preamble of the Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to uphold justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. They also took a solemn pledge to safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the nation, strengthening their sense of responsibility as future citizens.

To further enrich the celebration, an interactive Constitutional Quiz was organized. Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their knowledge about India’s constitutional history, key articles, and democratic principles. The quiz turned out to be both informative and enjoyable, fostering healthy competition and deeper understanding among participants.

19th November 2025 - Cyber Security Awareness Workshop

Queen’s Carmel School successfully conducted an insightful and high-impact Cyber Security Awareness Workshop for the students of Grade VII, VIII & , in collaboration with the local police authority’s Cyber Crime Team. The session aimed at empowering students with essential knowledge and practices required to navigate the digital world responsibly, confidently, and safely.

The workshop commenced with an expert-led briefing by Cyber Crime Officers, who illuminated students on the critical aspects of digital safety. They highlighted the growing relevance of cyber hygiene in today’s technology-driven world and sensitised students about potential online threats, including identity theft, cyberbullying, phishing, stalking, gaming frauds, and misuse of digital content. The officers emphasised the importance of conscious and cautious behaviour while using social media platforms, gadgets, and digital applications. Students were guided on recognising suspicious online activities, protecting personal information, and reporting unsafe incidents promptly.

The interactive demonstrations conducted by the Cyber Crime Team helped students understand real-life cyber cases, the legal implications of cyber offences, and the significance of digital footprints. They were encouraged to foster positive cyber etiquette, verify information before sharing, and maintain respectful communication in virtual spaces.

Following the expert session, an Open House Discussion was facilitated by the school’s IT department. This forum encouraged students to articulate their perspectives, clarify doubts, and reflect on their understanding of safe cyber practices. The dialogue not only enhanced their awareness but also fostered a culture of responsible, ethical, and informed digital behaviour.

15th November 2025 - Event Report – Literary Fest 2025

"It is here, where the nascent intellect converges with the alchemy of words, that learning transforms into the genesis of perpetual inspiration.

The Annual Literary Fest 2025, meticulously organized under the auspices of the Life Skills Development Programme (LSDP), transcended the conventional school event to become a vibrant celebration of creativity, expression, and literary appreciation. Conducted on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in honour of Children’s Day, the Fest successfully brought togetherstudentsfrom Grades I to IX to explore the profound power of language and the joy of artistic expression. Key highlights were:

Expressions Unleashed (Inter-House Competition): This high-energy event encouraged students to step beyond rote learning and articulate their thoughts, emotions, and ideas with conviction. Through dramatic poem recitation (Grades I-II), story relay (Grades III-V), and the role play of literary classics (Grades VI-IX), students developed essential competencies such as clarity of communication, stage presence, creative thinking, and articulation. The inter-house format further strengthened teamwork, healthy competition, and peer motivation.

Inter House Calligraphy Competition: Engaging the younger students (Grades I-V), this activity underscored the importance of presentation, handwriting aesthetics, and mindful writing. It not only refined fine motor skills but also nurtured patience, concentration, and attention to detail — attributes critical for academic success and beyond.

Author’s Visit – Meet the Storyteller: This enriching session for senior students (Grades VI-IX) provided a rare interface with a professional creative minds. Interacting with a renowned author Mr. Pradeep Khusro and reverent Theater artist Mr. Hemant Raipuria broadened their understanding of how fundamental ideas evolve into complex, compelling narratives. Students gained crucial insights into creativity, imagination, and the writing journey.

Overall, the Literary Fest successfully aligned with the objectives of LSDP by nurturing confidence, communication skills, creativity, and reflective thinking. It provided students with meaningful opportunities to learn, express, and connect through the world of literature.

29th September 2025 - DUSSEHRA AT QCS- CELEBRATING THE TRIUMPH OF VIRTUE OVER VICE

On 29th September 2025, Queen’s Carmel School reverberated with devotion, colour, and festivity as it hosted its grand Dussehra Celebration, under the theme “A Kaleidoscope of Culture & Learning”. The event aimed to instill the timeless values of righteousness and the victory of good over evil while offering students an opportunity to showcase their talents and cultural heritage.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome address and ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing enlightenment and positivity. The youngest participants, Nursery and LKG students, opened the programme with a lively Garba performance, filling the auditorium with joy. This was followed by a delightful ramp walk by Playway and Nursery children, dressed as characters from the epic Ramayana, charming the audience with their innocence and creativity.

A major highlight was the Ramayana musical skit by the Kindergarten classes, blending storytelling, music, and drama to narrate key episodes from the epic. The spiritual fervour deepened with a Dhuni dance performance by LKG and UKG, and a heartfelt recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa by UKG students, which created an atmosphere of reverence. Their vibrant Dandiya performance added festive exuberance to the occasion.

The celebration progressed with Grades I and II presenting a role play on the Ramayana. Their efforts were further complemented by a musical performance, filling the auditorium with melodious tunes.

The middle school students brought their own cultural flair, with Grades III and IV performing a lively Garba dance, while Grades V and VI enthralled the audience with a powerful dance presentation on the Durga Stotra, celebrating the divine feminine energy. The senior students added a majestic touch with Grades VII and VIII presenting a soulful musical performance, and Grade IX concluding the artistic segment with an energetic Garba.

The event drew to a close with an inspiring address by the Head of School who commended the students and teachers for their dedication and creativity. The morning ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and united in festive spirit.

29th September 2025 - INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO COMBATING HUNGER: A PBL INITIATIVE AT QCS

Queen’s Carmel School orchestrated an intellectually stimulating Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiative centred on Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Spanning the week of 22nd to 26th September 2025, this initiative offered students from Grades I to IX an immersive platform to explore the intricacies of nutrition, sustainable food practices, and the vital importance of equitable access to wholesome meals. The project culminated in a PBL Showcase on 29th September, where students exhibited their projects, and innovative ideas, reflecting their research acumen, creativity, and nuanced understanding of this critical global challenge.

The youngest participants, Grades I and II, engaged in a poster-making activity on healthy eating habits. Over several days, they explored balanced nutrition, designed illustrative collages, and articulated their insights through presentations, cultivating early awareness of the value of wholesome diets.

Grades III to V expanded this exploration through group-based collages and presentations on healthy versus unhealthy meals. By conducting surveys and analysing results, students demonstrated an experiential understanding of nutrition, linking it directly to sustainability and responsible food practices.

Grades VI and VII delved into practical sustainability with Mini Kitchen Gardens, growing chemical-free vegetables and maintaining meticulous plant journals. This hands-on experience highlighted the multifaceted benefits of home-grown produce, from reducing food waste and saving costs to fostering environmental stewardship and self-reliance.

Senior students, Grades VIII and IX, synthesized knowledge with innovation through the creation of Digital Menu Cards, emphasizing affordable, nutritious, and well-balanced meals. Their presentations underscored the significance of informed dietary choices in combating hunger and promoting holistic health.

The PBL Showcase on 29th September exemplified the seamless integration of research, creativity, and practical application. Students highlighted how projects like Mini Kitchen Gardens and Digital Menu Cards collectively embody the pathway to achieving Zero Hunger—through awareness, action, and innovation. The event concluded with a resonant reminder that addressing hunger is not merely about filling plates but about ensuring health, sustainability, and respect for every grain of food.

27th September 2025 - Carmelites Lead with Sportsmanship Spirit at LSDP

The campus was buzzing with energy, and triumphant cheers on Saturday, September 27th, as School successfully conducted its Life Skills Development Program (LSDP) for the months of September and October. The event, themed around Sportsmanship and Team Spirit, provided a dynamic platform for students from Grades I to IX to showcase their talents beyond the classroom.

A Day of Strategic Moves and Energetic Cheers The morning session was dominated by the Inter-House Chess Championship. The sports room were transformed into arenas of intellectual battle, where students from Grades II to VIII demonstrated remarkable strategic thinking, patience, and composure. Each move was carefully calculated, truly embodying the spirit of a mind sport. Parallelly, other students were engaged in various Club Activities, fostering creativity and collaboration.

Little Champs League - Champs of Grades I and II Steal the Show, with their boundless energy. The playground erupted in excitement during the Little Champs League—the Intra-Class Sports Competitions. The event was a delightful spectacle of laughter, friendly rivalry, and sheer joy as our little athletes participated in various races and games, learning the values of teamwork and healthy competition firsthand.

Equipping for the Digital World - The day culminated with an essential and insightful Workshop on Cyber Safety for students in Grades I to IX. This crucial session focused on empowering our digital natives with the knowledge to navigate the online world responsibly, covering topics like digital footprint, privacy settings, and ethical online behaviour. The workshop provided valuable tools to ensure our students remain safe and become responsible citizens in the digital age.

Celebrating Excellence and Effort - The success of this LSDP event underscores our commitment at Carmel School to nurture not just academic excellence, but also the essential life skills of strategy, teamwork, and digital responsibility. 24th & 25th September - Health Camp - Championing Holistic Wellness at Queen’s Carmel School

At Queen’s Carmel School, we believe education transcends academics—it is about nurturing the whole child. In alignment with this vision, we are proud to announce the successful culmination of our Two-Day Comprehensive Health Assessment Camp, organized in partnership with our esteemed healthcare collaborator, Health Set Go.

This meticulously encompassed designed initiative an extensive range of assessments, including dental, vision, physical fitness, and growth evaluations—ensuring each child’s health is closely monitored and optimally supported. Every student received personalised attention, reflecting our unwavering commitment to proactive healthcare and overall well-being. Importantly, the complete health report for every student was shared with parents in complete confidentiality, safeguarding privacy while enabling informed care and follow-up.

Beyond physical check-ups, the camp fostered health awareness, reinforcing preventive healthcare practices and inspiring students to embrace healthier lifestyles.

23 August 2025 - Educational Visit to the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi

The students of Grade VI to IX of Queen’s Carmel School undertook an enriching educational visit to the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, as part of the school’s experiential learning initiative. This beautiful museum houses a remarkable collection of modern and contemporary art, ranging from vibrant paintings and intricate sculptures to thought-provoking installation art. The gallery also preserves masterpieces by eminent Indian artists, providing students with a rare opportunity to witness creativity that bridges tradition and modernity.

Guided through various sections of the gallery, the learners observed the evolution of artistic expression across different eras and regions They gained insights into the cultural, historical, and social contexts reflected in art, thereby strengthening their appreciation for India’s rich heritage and its global artistic connections. The exhibits not only deepened their understanding of aesthetic traditions but also encouraged them to appreciate art as a profound medium of storytelling, creativity, and innovation.

13 August 2025 - Blending Tricolour With Peacock Feathers: Independence Day And Janmashtami Festivities

On August 14, 2025, Queen’s Carmel School came alive with an exuberant confluence of patriotic zeal and festive reverence as the institution marked the 79th Independence Day of India alongside the auspicious festival of Janmashtami. The occasion was graced by the esteemed Head of School, faculty members, and an enthusiastic gathering of students across all grades, embodying the school’s ethos of unity in diversity.

The programme commenced with a gracious welcome, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Head of School, a symbolic act signifying the illumination of wisdom and the dispelling of ignorance. The Independence Day segment unfolded with soul-stirring musical tributes by the UKG students, setting a resonant tone of national pride. This was succeeded by a vibrant array of performances, from the spirited dances of LKG and Grade I students to the harmonious choral renditions by Grades III to IX. Each act, whether through expressive movement, evocative music, or narrative dance, celebrated the ideals of freedom, unity and sacrifice.

The celebration then transitioned seamlessly into the Janmashtami segment, where the youngest learners from Nursery and Playway classes enchanted the audience as endearing Krishnas and graceful Radhas. Musical offerings from Grades I to III and dynamic, colour-rich dance presentations by senior students recreated the joyous essence of Vrindavan, blending devotion with artistry in perfect harmony.

A special address by the Head of School emphasised the enduring values of patriotism, cultural heritage, and moral integrity. The event culminated in the announcement of the Overall House Trophy Winner for the academic year 2024–25.

06 August 2025 - Awareness Workshop: “Stranger Danger” & “Good Touch, Bad Touch”

As part of Queen’s Carmel School’s unwavering commitment to holistic child development and safeguarding practices, Safety and Awareness Workshop was conducted for students of Grades Nursery to V. This initiative was designed to cultivate awareness, resilience, and self-protection among youngest learners through engaging, pedagogically sound methods.

The sessions, facilitated by the teachers, adopted an experiential learning approach that combined scenario-based role-plays. These role-plays simulated real-world situations in a child-sensitive manner, enabling students to recognise inappropriate behaviour and identify trusted adults.

A central component of the workshop was the introduction of the “Family Passcode” - a discreet and personalised code known only to the child and their immediate family, designed as a critical safety measure in emergency scenarios. Children were also sensitized about the importance of memorizing parental contact numbers and were guided on preparing a personalised identification card containing essential family details. They were advised to carry this ID while visiting public places.

Furthermore, the significance of identifying a ‘Safe Zone’ and forming a ‘Trusted Circle’ within their neighborhood was emphasized, to help students build a mental map of reliable, supportive individuals they can rely on in times of distress.

The workshop was further enhanced through a PowerPoint presentation, which visually reinforced key concepts, followed by a guided Q&A session that offered students a safe space to voice their thoughts and queries.

This initiative aligns with the school’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development and safety of its students.

26 July 2025 - Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration Report

To honour the unwavering courage and sacrifice of our Indian soldiers, Queen’s Carmel School solemnly observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, 2025, in the school auditorium with great patriotism and pride. The event aimed to instill a deep sense of nationalism, gratitude, and respect for the brave hearts who laid down their lives during the Kargil War of 1999.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the occasion and highlighting the significance of the day. The Head of School and staff paid tribute to the fallen heroes with heartfelt words and unwavering reverence.

The atmosphere was further charged with nationalistic fervor as students of Grades VI–VIII presented a soul-stirring patriotic group song that resonated through the auditorium, stirring a sense of pride among the audience.

A beautiful poem recitation by Baani Saxena followed, echoing the voices of bravery, valor, and the undying spirit of the Indian soldiers. Her expressive narration captivated the audience and added a poetic depth to the celebration.

Next, the stage came alive with a unique and vibrant Patriotic Ramp Walk by students of Grades III–V, where the young participants showcased costumes inspired by freedom fighters and the Indian Army. Each step reflected their admiration for our nation's defenders.

The event concluded with an adorable poem recitation by students of Grades I & II, whose innocent voices paid tribute to the brave soldiers in the most touching way. Their performance left a lasting impact on everyone present.

The celebration was a heartwarming blend of expression, creativity, and respect, leaving both students and staff with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by our armed forces. Queen’s Carmel School remains committed to nurturing a spirit of patriotism and gratitude in every young heart.

25 July 2025 - Investiture Ceremony 2025–26

On the momentous morning of July 25, 2025, the School Auditorium of Queen’s Carmel School stood as a testament to pride, promise, and purpose, as it hosted the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025–26. This distinguished event reflected the school’s steadfast dedication to cultivating leadership, instilling discipline, and fostering sense of accountability among its student body.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial Diya, a sacred symbol of enlightenment and the victory of knowledge over ignorance. A spirit of solemnity and pride filled the atmosphere as the Leader’s March began The newly elected Student Council members marched with poise and conviction, embodying the values of commitment, integrity, and courage. The investiture ritual—marked by the dignified pinning of badges and adorning of sashes—conferred upon each student leader not just a title, but the weight of responsibility and the trust of the school community.

The Oath-Taking Ceremony followed, where the council solemnly pledged to uphold the highest standards of honesty, dedication, and excellence, echoing the school’s cherished ethos. The newly appointed Council Head delivered a compelling and visionary address, articulating the collective resolve of the student leadership to serve with honor, empathy, and a spirit of collaborative growth.

Ms. Sandhya Kumaria, the Head of School, delivered a stirring address, congratulating the council and emphasizing the essence of true leadership—grounded in empathy, resilience, and service. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, uniting everyone in a shared sense of purpose and pride.

05 July 2025 - Life Skill Development Program (LSDP)

Queen’s Carmel School successfully conducted the Life Skill Development Program (LSDP) on Saturday, 5th July 2025, as part of its unwavering commitment to the holistic development of students. The program was thoughtfully curated to equip learners with indispensable life skills—ranging from leadership and communication to critical thinking and environmental responsibility.

Highlights of July LSDP were:

Inter House Competition- Ad Mad Show: The event witnessed participation where vibrant students inter-house presented innovative and humorous advertisements. This activity not only bolstered creative expression and public speaking but also cultivated marketing acumen and teamwork under competitive settings.

Storytelling Session: Ms. Divya Rao our Guest Speaker and Grandparent of Mahi Sharma conducted story telling session for the students of Grades I – V. An interactive and expressive storytelling session unfolded for the junior grades, engaging their imagination and enhancing listening and Time Management Workshop conducted for students of Grades VI – VIII: School counselor Ms. Latika conducted session on Time Management and its impact on students. The workshop focused on developing cognitive agility, and effective strategies—vital for adaptive success in today’s evolving world.

Waste Management Awareness Session was conducted for students of Grades I – IV. The session aimed to sensitize students about the sustainable practices of effective waste management and enlighten them about the new initiative started up by the school of waste segregation, recycling, and eco-conscious living.

Student Council Voting: In a democratic spirit, students actively participated in the voting process to select School Council Members. The activity instilled a sense of civic duty, accountability, and leadership among the young voters.

The LSDP proved to be an enriching experience that broadened the students’ perspectives beyond the textbook. It promoted a balanced amalgamation of intellectual engagement, environmental consciousness, ethical sensitivity, and leadership development.

03 July 2025 - Pool Party

To welcome the monsoon with joy and beat the scorching summer heat in the most delightful way, Queen’s Carmel School organized a vibrant Summer Fiesta for the students of the Foundational Stage (Nursery to Grade II) on 3rd July 2025. The event featured a fun-filled Pool Party, an Umbrella Dance, and a refreshing Mango Feast, creating a perfect blend of recreation and seasonal celebration.

The day was filled with giggles, cheer, and excitement as children splashed around in inflatable pools, dressed in colorful swimwear and bright umbrellas. A specially curated area ensured complete hygiene and safety for all the young participants, with staff members closely monitoring the water play activities.

Adding to the tropical fun, children enjoyed tasting juicy mangoes of different varieties into an engaging sensory activity, allowing the little ones to experience the king of fruits through taste, texture, and conversation.

The lively Umbrella Dance was another highlight, with children moving rhythmically to cheerful music while twirling their tiny umbrellas— bringing out their creativity and confidence.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving behind radiant smiles and beautiful memories. It was a delightful experience that not only allowed the children to bond with their peers but also helped in sensory exploration, gross motor development, and emotional well-being.

Queen’s Carmel School, Beta-01, Greater Noida, proudly hosted a one-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on “Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms” on 24th May 2025. The initiative was a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and the professional growth of its teaching faculty.

The programme was organized with meticulous planning and flawless execution, reflecting the school’s hallmark of quality and hospitality. The serene, tech-enabled campus provided an ideal environment for immersive learning, while the logistical and academic arrangements were par excellence.

A total of 60 educators from various academic disciplines participated in the programme, which aimed at equipping teachers with contemporary knowledge and practical competencies for the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the teaching-learning process.

The sessions were expertly conducted by two distinguished resource persons, Ms. Meenakshi Gaur and Mrs. Priyavmvada, both highly respected for their expertise in AI and education. Their delivery was engaging, insightful, and intellectually stimulating.

The program focused on creating awareness and building capacity among teachers to embrace AI tools effectively in their teaching methodologies.

17 May 2025 - Mother’s Day Celebration

On the splendid morning of 17th May, Queen’s Carmel School came alive with joy, gratitude, and celebration as it hosted a heartwarming event in honour to mothers—our guiding lights and first teachers. The school auditorium was resplendently decorated, radiating warmth and festivity, reflecting the love we hold for the incredible mothers in our lives.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and positivity. This was followed by a serene and spiritual rendition of Ganesh Vandana, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for an auspicious beginning.

A series of vibrant music and dance performances added rhythm and color to the day’s proceedings. The tiny tots from Nursery, LKG, and UKG mesmerized the audience with their delightful and well-coordinated dance routines. Their innocence and enthusiasm brought joy to every heart present.

The stage transformed into a glamorous runway during the ramp walk, where our tiny tots along with their mothers charmed everyone with their confidence and style, celebrating the uniqueness of every child and their special bond with their mothers.

The event also featured a series of interactive and delightful games thoughtfully designed to engage both the students and their beloved mothers. The enthusiastic participation of the mothers added an extra spark of joy, as they embraced the spirit of the celebration with laughter and cheer. Together with their little ones, they showcased remarkable teamwork and coordination, reflecting not only their agility but also the deep bond they share.

The excitement soared during the Winner Announcement segment, as applause echoed in celebration of talent and participation across the classes.

The event concluded on a poignant and inspiring note with an address by our Head of School, eloquently expressed the significance of honoring mothers and nurturing strong family bonds. Her words resonated with everyone, emphasizing the role of schools in fostering holistic development and value based learning.

14 May 2025 - Spell Bee Competition - Grade I and II

Queen's Carmel School organized a Spell Bee Competition for the enthusiastic young learners of Grade I and II. The event aimed to enhance the spelling skills, vocabulary, and confidence of the students while promoting healthy academic competition.

The competition was meticulously planned and executed, providing a platform for students to showcase their linguistic abilities. It began with a preliminary screening round, which was conducted in classrooms. Students who qualified were then shortlisted to participate in the final competition.

The final round of the Spell Bee consisted of four well structured and progressively challenging rounds, each designed to test different aspects of spelling and language understanding:

Warm-up Round – Basic word spellings to ease the participants into the competition.

Jumble Round – Rearranging jumbled letters to form correct words.

Visual Round – Identify and spell the objects shown in pictures.

Rapid-Fire Round – A fast-paced spelling challenge to test presence of mind and accuracy.

The event witnessed active participation and great enthusiasm from all the contestants. It was heartening to see young students confidently taking the stage and spelling complex words with ease.

The competition concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where the winners were awarded Certificates of Achievement for their commendable performance. All participants were appreciated for their efforts and sportsmanship.

3 May 2025 - Life Skills Development Program (LSDP)

As a part of the ongoing Skill Development Program, the first Life Skills Development Program (LSDP) of the new academic session was successfully conducted on 3rd May 2025. The day was thoughtfully planned with a combination of special workshops, club activities, and an inter house competition, designed to foster creativity, communication, and collaborative skills among students.

Students from Grade I to IX participated with great enthusiasm, engaging in experiential learning and cultivating essential life skills throughout the day.

A key highlight of the day was the Cartooning Workshop organized for Grades III to V in collaboration with Times NIE. The workshop introduced students to cartoon drawing techniques in an engaging and enjoyable manner, sparking interest and creativity.

For the younger students in Grades I and II, a captivating Storytelling Session was conducted, during which students were completely engrossed in the imaginative narratives. The session encouraged listening skills and stimulated imagination.

The Club Activities, held mid-morning, were thoroughly enjoyed by students across grades. These included hands-on tasks and skill-based modules tailored to each age group, contributing to a fun yet educational environment.

The day concluded with an Inter-House Wall Magazine Competition. All four houses participated enthusiastically, creating vibrant and informative displays under the theme “States under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.” This activity encouraged teamwork, research, and artistic expression while fostering a spirit of unity in diversity.

The first LSDP of the session was a resounding success, setting a positive tone for the year ahead. It provided students a platform beyond academics to express, explore, and enhance their skills in a joyful and meaningful way.

21-25 April 2025 - Earth Day Week- “Nurturing Nature, Securing the Future”

At Queen’s Carmel School, Earth Day 2025 blossomed into a week-long celebration of environmental awareness and action. From 21st to 25th April, students across all grades participated with great enthusiasm in Earth Week 2025, embracing their roles as responsible stewards of the environment.

The week unfolded with a diverse range of eco conscious activities designed to instill a deep respect for nature and promote sustainable practices among young learners. The tree plantation drive stood as a powerful symbol of growth and responsibility, with students planting saplings and learning about the long-term impact of greenery on our planet’s health.

Adding depth to the celebration, thought provoking skits highlighted critical environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change. Students also took part in slogan writing and poem recitations, expressing their environmental concerns and hopes through creative and compelling language. The artistic spirit of the week was captured through poster making, badge designing, and eco-themed craftwork, including vibrant headgear that symbolized the harmony between creativity and conservation.

A special highlight was the Earth Day Assembly, where students came together to present speeches, enactments, and songs that stirred a collective sense of responsibility. The assembly served not only as an educational experience but also as a call to action for all attendees.

On April 1, 2025, Queen’s Carmel School heralded the commencement of the academic session 2025-26 with an eloquently orchestrated Orientation Programme, themed "Positive Parenting." The event emerged as an inspired confluence of vision, purpose, and partnership, aiming to cultivate a dynamic synergy between parents and the institution in nurturing the holistic development of every child.

The morning unfolded with a gracious welcome extended to the distinguished guests, parents, and members of the school management. A spirit of optimism pervaded the atmosphere as the school community united to embark on yet another enriching academic voyage. The presence of the eminent Dr. Roma Kumar, a celebrated clinical psychologist with over three and a half decades of profound experience, imbued the occasion with wisdom and gravitas. Following the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a soul-stirring Kathak performance on Ganesh Vandana set a reverent and graceful tone for the day.

A moment of immense pride was marked by the unveiling of QCS Chronicles 2.0—the school’s second edition of its newsletter—an eloquent reflection of Queen’s Carmel School’s relentless pursuit of academic innovation, excellence, and transparent communication. A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation offered parents a panoramic view of the school’s academic ethos, integrated pedagogical approaches, and diverse learning methodologies.

A proud highlight of the event was a thought provoking role play titled “Skill Development”, which vividly demonstrated how students are seamlessly and sensitively inducted into the school’s nurturing ecosystem. The act highlighted 21st-century pedagogies and strategies such as Project-Based Learning (PBL), Concept-Based Integrated Learning (CBIL), and experiential learning, underscoring the school’s mission to cultivate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Dr. Kumar’s keynote address on Positive Parenting was both empowering and deeply insightful. Her interactive discourse delved into nurturing emotionally resilient, self-assured children and emphasized the indispensable role parents play during the formative stages of their child's life.

Infraclass Sports Competition organized for the Primary Wing of Queen’s Carmel School on Saturday, 8th February was resounding successful. The event was a vibrant celebration of youthful energy, athletic spirit, and camaraderie, as our young learners enthusiastically took part in a range of dynamic activities.

The sports line-up featured an exciting mix of individual and team events, including the Hurdle Race, Hoola-Hoop Pair Race, Ball Dribbling Race, Book Balance, Back Race, and Kho-Kho. Each event was thoughtfully curated to promote physical agility, coordination, and collaborative play among students.

The participants exhibited exceptional determination, confidence, and sportsmanship, creating excitement an atmosphere charged with and positive energy. Their wholehearted involvement and spirited performances were a testament to their dedication and enthusiasm, turning the day into a truly memorable experience for all.

This grandiose spectacle paid homage to India’s vast and resplendent cultural mosaic, epitomizing the ethos of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat with an unparalleled fervour. The event unfurled as a magnificent ode to unity in diversity, encapsulating the quintessence of India's heritage through an array of enthralling performances.

Gracing the occasion with their esteemed presence were the Honourable Chairman, Mr. Anil Sachdeva, as the revered Chief Guest, and the Honourable Director, Mr. Deepak Jain, as the Guest of Honour. Their distinguished attendance lent the event an aura of prestige.

The proceedings commenced with an eloquent welcome address by the Academic Coordinator, Ms. Shalini Mishra followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests that infused the ambiance with an aura of auspiciousness and positivity.

A spellbinding Saraswati Vandana, expressed through an ethereal Bharatanatyam recital, invoked the divine blessings of the Goddess of Wisdom. Succeeded by a delightful piano recital, underscoring the school’s steadfast commitment to fostering artistic excellence.
